I'm looking for a front bumper but have a question. The first bumper (at the helm) below comes straight across in front of the grill area and the second bumper (Victory) comes down below the grill area. Don't worry about the low hoop on the ATH bumper, you can get it without it. This is just the pic I grabbed.

My question is if you have the straight type bumper, do you have to remove the bumper to take your grill off? Is there enough clearance with the bumper on to remove the grill? That would be a bummer to have to remove or loosen your bumper to remove your grill

it's pulled out then up because of the clips at the bottom. you need a little bit of clearance.

Not sure about ATH front bumper, I only have their rear high clearance, but with CBI's you need to drop the bumper if you have mid protection like I do.

By mid protection, do you mean a hoop?

My SOS front bumper had to be lowered, unless they have a large gap in front of the grill it’s probably not possible.

Yeah. There's another hoop that's taller that goes up to the hoodline and headlights; that might not obstruct removing the grill.

Without the hoop, looks like you have plenty of room.

On my SSO bumper the grille has to go on first. Found that out the hard way.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I really like the look of both bumpers. I guess if you have to loosen or lower the bumper to take the grill off it's a minor inconvenience. I mean how often do you take the grill off???

I have the same grill as you and SSO bumper with hoop. I am able to remove and re-install my grill with the bumper on, but it is tight.

I tried it. I figured you "could" but it started scratching my grille and that's when I decided to remove the bumper.

Pardon the stupid question, but I'm considering the SSO bumper as well way down the road and I'm wondering, what do folks use those hoops for?

    Mall crawling like a boss.

Edit: You can recover someone from it. Can tie a rope to it and pull. But it makes more sense to use the hooks.

I had the same concern. I put a towel in between so the grill would not get scratched. Worked fine. I was really worried I'd have to loosen or remove the bumper because I installed the bumper but didn't take the time to wire the winch or light bar. So, I had to remove it a week later.

I'm there with you. Not quite sure I understand the protection they provide, and I'm not a fan of the looks.

Well, happy to hear the grille can be removed. Removing the bumper without winch installed is easy. Bumper with winch, not so easy.

I have it. I like the look. There is technically some added protection in that area. Would you ever need it? Unlikely. But, you could attach lights to it. You could attach a hammock to it. You could hang Christmas ornaments from it. The possibilities are endless!
