I just noticed that my left tail light only lights up the top portion when the lights are on but the brake light still works. On my right light, the whole section lights up and the brake light just makes the bottom portion brighter. What could cause this?

Switch the bulbs from the right to the left. If it lights up. Bulbs dead. If the same results, check the fuse.

Just time to replace the bulbs. Sometimes it can be opposite too where the tail light works, but the brake light doesn't. If I'm not mistaken believe there are 2 filaments in the bulbs. One can burn out (i.e. the brake light) while the other still works (tail light). Best to replace both bulbs since they work in pairs

I swapped out the brake light bulb and all is good again. If something else goes out I will replace every bulb

Sounds like it's time for a Meso Stage 1 kit for you :)
