Howdy Fella's. I'm back with my 2nd stab at this Tacoma thing. My first build was a 2012 T|X Pro that I loved, just didn't like the short bed. So much so that I let it go. So after a couple years off from the ORV life, I've taken the plunge back into this full throttle again. This time, I'm picking up where I left off and making more progress on this truck than the last one. The current Truck for this build is a 2012 SR5 4x4 ACLB that I picked up from a company that used it as a service truck. Got a hell of a deal on it and it was always well maintained. Picked it up with 124k on the clock and it's rock solid. She has already begun the transformation and well on her way to MOAB in the near future. Any suggestions/Tips are welcomed, I'm no pro with building these things. I've done most of this work myself on this build as opposed to spending a small fortune having someone else install stuff this go round. I paid close attention on the last build. Stay tuned....More to come...

Thanks to the guys at Pelfreybilt once again for the Plate Bumper and Sliders. Anxious to get the Sliders burned on....still waiting for them to land. The bumper was not to bad doing up. I went with Aluminum this go round as I had the Plate Steel on my last build. Having everything steel means a Heavy Rig. I learned my lesson on that so this time she is on a Diet. Prepped and Painted it with some Rustoleum bed liner again. You just can't beat the stuff. Used the self etching primer this time for good measure. I installed a WARN Zeon 10-S, Black Oak 20" LED Bar, and some Rigid Dulles for the fog's.

How does your truck ride with that much preload on the Kings? CV angle? I got the same setup only with 650# springs

Rides like a cloud with the bumper and winch installed. If you run without any weight on the front, it's violent! In addition to removing the sway bay. Highly recommended to put some weight up front. If you go bumper and winch, I would suggest the 700# option to reduce any sag.

That CV angle looks extreme lol. Worried about the boots at all? I got the Kings with #650 springs with aluminum bumper but all steel skids so they settled under the last time I adjusted them up a bit.

Edit: Whats your caster at with that ride height?

Just saw your post. LOL! Sorry about that. I'm not sure what my caster is set at currently but will get that info for you next time on the rack. I'm not too worried about the boots at all really, I ran this same setup on my old T|X and wheeled the hell out of it. Never an issue. How have yours been treating you on your build?

Finally got the sliders burned on the frame. Man, I've been swamped with work and racing the KTM in the local events. Need to start focusing on the Taco some more.... Good Times!

I'll post up some fresh pics of the final product.

Upgraded the bed side TRD Off Road Decals on ole Marvin finally. Thanks to @CBoy808 for doing these up for me! They turned out great! Thankfully I've got years of experience applying this type stuff from racing dirtbikes for so long. Very straight forward. Very well crafted product and I highly recommend his stuff! God Bless America!

I would invest in one of these fine pieces of plastic for sure!

Nice looking truck! I think black fender flares would make it look slick too

Thanks man! Been slacking on the build lately. I've been thinking about doing the flares black also, still on the fence about that.

Yeah it's purely cosmetic so not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things, I've just always personally thought it made the white Tacoma look great.

I've got a 2011 AC in all black though. How do you enjoy the access cab? I really like having the longer bed, I ended up taking out the rear seats and building storage cubbies and putting in a small sub/amp combo which is nice.

Long bed is def the way to go! I use my rear seats for my kiddos, but they are still young and I see those not being of much use the bigger they get. I love the AC! I've had a 4 door Taco in the past and really couldn't get over the short bed it had. The long bed on the 4 doors is just not my thing either.
