So I bought these lights back in January 2020 because they were on sale (kinda) for ~$350. I bought them from TacomaBeast and the original manufacture is SpyderAuto. The headlights are the halogen version (version 1?) with the sequential turn signals.

At the time, Morimoto and AlphaRex weren't really selling their current lights yet so the best option for owners were to either install LED's, HID's or retrofit with something else, or get these or the version 2 with the LED lights.

January 2020 - installation was easy and I had no complaints at the time

After a couple of months, I realized the light output was actually terrible, especially in the rain.

In November 2020 I decided to install a lightbar which didn't really help very much. obviously I can't drive around with a lightbar on

I knew the lightbar wasn't bright enough so in February 2021 I decided to drop $400 on a set of fog lights. Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro Yellow. These things outshine the hell out of the headlights

The film layer on the headlights decided to deteriorate overnight haha

    TL;DR

    DO NOT BUY CHEAP HEADLIGHTS

I just bought a set of Morimoto XB LED Headlights and it only cost me $1500. Honestly its worth buying.

I sold my OEM headlights to @Puppypunter back in november if anyone is asking

You should've and you could've in January 2020, as I did, the 2020 Tacoma LED lights - really the only light you should be replacing your stock units with, plus they're fucking amazing and legal.

Lmao I thought $350 was a good deal at the time. The stock led lights do look really good
