As you guessed from the title, this thread is dedicated to custom banners for the Tacoma that mount on the windshield. You're more than welcome to post your own because I'm fixing to fabricate one up tomorrow! Pics will follow as soon as I am finished with the product. For the time being, I'm wanting to see some creative ones. I'm thinking about going with "TACOMA" in bold letters, but I'm not 100% set on a font. Any ideas are appreciated! I'm able to create just about anything, so there isn't any limitations.

With all the stock badges on the truck folks should already know what it is. Make it original like " Live, Laugh, Offroad" or "Redneck"

Haha just imagine the amount of stares one would receive. People would probably wreck trying to figure out what it said :spy:

How about the font that the 2016 tailgates have stamped in them?

I'm liking it! Sadly, I'll have to wait a few days before I can install the banner. Thanks to the rainy whether I can't ever find the chance to apply it :annoyed:

I had a banner on the top of mine but the windshield wipers eventually made it peel up.

Do you remember what the dimensions were? I'm probably going to stay within the 2-3" mark, so I can avoid that if possible.

About 3" tall & 18" wide.......run your wipers & check how high up they come on the glass. My vinyl sticker was low quality and the wiper pulled up the corner. Eventually it came all the way off. If the corner of the vinyl extends past where the wiper travels it might work a lot better.

Sorry about not posting anything about the banner! I've been tied up with school and haven't even had the chance to create the dimensions yet. Hopefully, I'll be able to install within the next week.

i had a trd offroad windshield banner and ended up removing it... way too gaudy and cheapened the over all look of the truck.

Yeah I agree the larger banners look a little gaudy. I'm trying to make a balance between the two, so it doesn't look as cheap.

Not really my thing, but I have seen some on the side of the windshield that looked pretty cool. Probably avoid the wiper hitting it as well.

Get one that says "CHICK", "RICE CAR" or "DADDY'S MONEY" because that's what windshield banners really mean, anyway.

Alright, alright... I'm being unhelpful, I admit it.

On a serious note, though... do give serious consideration before deciding to put one on. It won't look as good as you imagine it will, and it'll end up fading/cracking/coming off if you use your truck in any way that remotely warrants you owning a truck in the first place.

OP - WORST CASE IF YOU PUT IT ON AND IT LOOKS GAUDY, YOU WILL DIE.

Or you can peel it off because it's a sticker.

Tell me what truck stuff like hauling and towing does to window stickers again, Wiggins? Pretty sure it has nothing to do with making decals crack and fade.

Do you read your posts before you post them?

Man, a lot of negativity going on here.

OP, put on there whatever you want! In HS I had a Wrangler and I put "Go Topless" across the windshield. It was my first 'off-road vehicle', and I loved it man! It wasn't a "Chick car", "Ricer", or any of "Daddy's money". Funny enough, the sticker also lasted for years through some pretty rough abuse - I ended up just taking it off and replacing it a few years down the road.

It's your money. When someone else pays for it, they can tell you what to put on there. :)

In the meantime, enjoy, and let us know what you end up doing!

This is mine. It's a little far away but it still shows the banner. I had it made. Feels great to be unique.

First off, sorry about the delay in the post. Our vinyl cutter is having some issues, so I went ahead and purchased one that'll fill the satisfaction for the time being. I'm overly impressed with the look. I just hope it'll stay on there for awhile! What do you guys think?
