Hi guys, today I fixed my rear passenger window switch from 2002 tacoma double cab. I looked up online how this is to be done but didn't find many pictures. So for anyone who has same problem, well here is how to fix it.

Problem was rear window would roll down but not up from the rear switch. However I was still able to roll it up from the driver master panel.

    How to fix it:
1.) take off your door panel.
    2.) remove switch.
    3.) take switch apart.
4.) clean the switch (burned areas).
    5.) reassemble the switch.
    6.) install back into panel.
7.) install panel back on the door.

And that's all. Took me about 10 minutes to do the whole thing.
Oh btw don't remove the pin holding the bottom, it's not nessesary and a pain to but back. Almost lost the end piece like 5 times lol.

    Good luck

Thanks for sharing. My driver window up on the old 2000 takes a bit of excess force to get the window to go up. I bet this will fix it. Did you use the knife to scrape the corrosion off?

Yes I used a knife to scuff it up a little to expose metal for better contact

Nice write up ! Thanks for sharing!

Over the years I have fixed many of these switches even to building up very worn contacts .

This was helpful. I ordered a whole replacement motor assembly not realizing this was the answer!
