That's true, but I feel like a side flop is far more common than a total rollover. There's a cage there sure but that doesn't prevent boulders smaller than the cage openings from protruding into the cab and causing serious damage.

Yeah so we are shooting for that price point maybe a little more with mirrors though and probably mesh style like the picture I Posted or even having multiple options on this

The young and fearful have spoken. But they grew up wearing bicycle helmets and knee pads. So I guess that’s to be expected.

What to really get the shakes? Watch the Matt’s recovery of the truck with a busted rear axle on a steep hill that involved welding and a hi lift.

That's definitely a fair point! I think a decent option would probably be tube doors, with a removeable canvas/molle panel, contoured to the feel of the truck. Light weight, minimal fabrication.

Yeah exactly going with something like that and maybe even add modular storage to the doors or options if you want them solid or soft mesh or something of the sort with easy stow away and light weight always being a great option !

Yeah, See I like those but some states especially California you'll get pulled over in a heartbeat without mirrors but yeah you can attach mirrors on those but we want something similar to that but a bit more heavy duty and possibly modular options for how the doors look

This I would do. If I'm doing open doors I want open doors. I wouldn't do it for the trail - I'd use them for the fun :D

But I do like the door idea @deuceb just posted too - those would be pretty sweet.

Yes! Requirements for me - working hinges/latches and integrate so the door chime shuts off; mirrors; option for speaker mounts so I can blast some tunes on the trails.

I like the bestop core door idea. Flexibility is key. A basic bar across the doorframe without mirrors does not interest me. Maintaining flow with the body, having mirrors, and not looking like a high school welding class built it would be very nice.

Exactly I know flexibility is a big thing especially something like trail doors. I agree 100% anything we put out needs body flow, with mirrors, and good quality ! I'm sure all these inputs with help them make a decision and hopefully when its all said and done and we go into R&D I can let you guys know what company will be releasing them so we can get a headcount for a launch ! Haha

See but those doors cost as much as a decent front and rear bumper which is insane. I personally think $2100 is way too much for trail doors

Absolutely need mirrors. We took the doors off my wife's jeep and was sketchy changing lanes. We rely on mirrors more than we know.

LOL hilarious. Taking measures to protect yourself is never a bad thing. I'm assuming you don't walk around barefoot? Looks like you drive a car with airbags too? What are you, scared of a little t-bone accident? I bet you even wear sunglasses

After spending the last two years recovering from having my upper body rebuilt from copious injuries, the surgeries, the PT, the months of not being able to take care of myself or move, I'd like to avoid situations like that in the future. That doesn't make me fearful, it makes me wise enough to know to take some pretty basic measures to protect myself.

Fear has never prevented me from doing anything, I just do things in a more calculated manner than some it seems.
