    Hey all,

New here, and need someone quick help.

I decided to get my dirty paws on a '15 Tacoma TRD Pro. There two "orange" and one black in my area. Besides doing some offroading (currently i have an '08 Hummer H3, which had done an awesome job over the years) i do a few motorcycle track days and i have to transport my motorcycle to and from the track or mechanic, etc. and traillering is getting a bit of problem due to lots of "parkway" roads and other trailer restrictions in my area.

So to make it short, TRD Pro comes with the short bed only, which is 61", but i have no idea how long the bed is with the tailgate lowered.

I need to figure out if my motorcycle would fit on the short bed. Bed depth to figure the lenght of the tailgate doesn't help me, unfortunately. Could someone, measure the length of the short bed on their Tacoma with the tailgate down, or at least just measure the tailgate from the point where the bed ends.

    Thank you!

Im not sure how long your bike is but most street bikes and dirt bikes Ive ever seen fit in the short bed with the tail gate down no problem!

    Hey thanks for replying

Ducati Streefighter 1098. Ducati claims 82 inches overall, i measured 84. This could be due to tires' profile etc...

    Hmmm... Thank you!

^^^This means a couple of inches will be sticking out, past the tailgate... Will the bed extender help?

I think the Bed extender would limit you to honestly...

Take the bike to the dealership and test it out!

I spoke on the phone with them and they are playing dumb and are not too helpfull; they just told me the bed length is 61" (right off the spec sheet) and "suggested" i add 18" of bed depth to it to figure out the total length.. but that obviously wrong way to do it. They also wouldn't let me try to load the bike up on it, for obvious liability reasons. I might just have to take a ride there with a measuring tape... Unless, there is someone here with a Duc Streetfighter or a 1098 that transports it on the short bed loaded straight:)

Itll fit no problem. The wheelbase is shorter than the one in the picture i posted.

Just another picture, but this is a KZ400 (82 inches) that I'm rebuilding on my DCSB.

Oh yeah... Sweet scoot. Are those Alpina wheels?

Do you use some sort of restraint system in the bed (like Pitbull) or a chock? Or do you just straight up strap it?

They come stock with excel wheels as far as i know.

I just strap it for now. Although i plan to add a bolt in chock eventually and use straps still.
