Tacoma rear seat message

I've got a trial subscription for Toyota connect. I've been getting a notice on my cell phone about my rear seats. I've checked them and they're not loose or unlocked, so why am I getting that message on my phone?

Newer Toyota’s blow up your phone and notification display in the truck with constant messages. I’m pretty sure you can turn off the seat reminder in the console settings

 

You can turn it off in the cluster settings using the steering wheel controls.

Hopefully this feature saves some kids life one day but its annoying for most of the owners.

 

You can, and I have turned this notification off on the truck. Unfortunately if I am logged into the app I still receive the phone notification.

 

You can disable them in the vehicle settings. Its a rear seat reminder. There's a couple of videos on YouTube on how to do it, and I was able to find it after some digging; you also will need to disable the app notification in the Toyota app as well. If they come back just disable them again, it took me turning it off a few times for toyota to sync my preferences to my profile.
