No worries, my post is totally neutral. Not annoyed at anyone or anything. Just hoping everyone understands it's hard to shuffle between forum, tickets, development, issues etc. When I'm doing 1 thing it's hard to be doing the others at the same time, and the logger is being worked(PIDS) on along with the new FM.

I have 2 people now dedicated to checking / sorting / updating and responding to tickets but we are getting 50-60+ daily right now

Is there anyone in SoCal (San Diego / Carlsbad) area with a stock like truck that would like a free dyno tune in trade for letting us use your truck for 2 days for some new development we are working on. (Feb 28th - March 1rst). Current customers take priority.
    Requirements:
    1. Must have stock intake.
    2. Must have stock size wheels
    3. Must be Auto

I think you are on something here

    Here is my 2 cents.
I reflashed last Sunday with 1.05 87 and fill up the tank. Misfires numbers are looking "good" - TSB good. I never had over 20 like other owner, mine were somewhere in 13-16 neighborhood.
So yesterday's trip to work produced 13, trip from work - 5. Yesterday did a short trip - 4, back home -5. Today's morning trip to work -7. ~50% misfires are right after startup and 1st mile or so.

Drove 200 miles on the reflashed truck.

I like the trend after reflashing and hoping it stays this way

What you feel is your truck most likely is in high gear 5 or 6 with locked TC and there is no enough momentum (similar to MT driving in wrong gear). I usually force TC to unlock by giving more pedal or let the pedal go. This is no misfire issue. You wont feel a single misfire at street/freeway driving.

That's another issue I'm having. A visible change on the tach between 200 to 300 rpm in 5th or 6th gear (but unsure of the gear it's in because no way to monitor) while accelerating consistently but not enough to cause a downshift. Will do it as long as I maintain pedal pressure in that range. It honestly feels like the trans is slipping to me. Doesnt feel good and hopefully it's not shortening the lifespan of fluid, tq converter or any other trans parts. But if that's normal I guess I could be over thinking it.

The truck will do this stock depending on accelerator position.
However we are making a modification to it, as a lot of people think the transmission is shifting all over. Even when it is not.

This talk of clearing the ECU has me wondering if it is possible the amount of misfires was due to residual values being kept in my ECU? Could the lack of not resetting the ECU between each flash caused the mis-fires? The life of my truck:

    Dealership: Flashed from 04A60 -> 04A61
    Took Delivery: 04A61
    Flashed 1.05 91
    Flashed to 1.05 87
    Flashed back to Stock TSB
Flashed to 1.05 87 (Began logging at this point - noted the misfires)
Flashed back to Stock TSB (disconnected negative battery cable for 10mins, immediately following flash).

As you can see I had a lot of flashing taking place prior to ever resetting ECU. Do you think the amount of mis-fires could be caused by not resetting the ECU? Just curious.

A modified version of 1.05 has been made that I'll be coordinating with a few people this weekend to test.
    1. testing : Misfire / stuttering issue at very low rpm in gear
    2. cold starting misfire count
    3. lack of response
    4. idle issue.

    Changes made so far -
    1. idle tables have been completely redone, (target idle RPM). I'e eliminated the stock programmings idle RPM tapering that has 3 points that have inconsistent actual targets
    2. Shift locking has been modified for less slip under certain conditions
    3. Transmission tables have been tightened up to improve shift speed. This is especially noticeable when it is very cold. I've been able to test from dead cold 10-15*.
    4. highway gear lockup has been improved

I am still testing, but so far I am not seeing any solution on 4th gear, in regards to maintaining 5th / 6th.

Upcoming Development (not strictly related to 1.05 Release)

    - Gear resize tuning (wheel size adjustment)

    - Tunes specific to gears 4.88 and 5.29 (automatic transmission TCU tuning)

    - Tundra Throttlebody Mod Specific tune - Throttle curve recalibration / airflow tables

    - ACIS Delete - Tune - Hardware plate

Can I suggest this release be 1.05.1 all the 05s are starting to get confusing. There is original 05 and idle surge patch 05 already.

Thanks all for the discussion of missfires and how to log them with fusion etc, along with the disconnect battery fix.
My friends truck never felt or sounded like it was misfireing . We got set up with Fusion for android and learned how to read the M$06 monitor . We had been running 1.05 91 octane with 91/93 octane fuel then went to the 87 octane tune. All sounded and felt fine but when we logged with fusion with the 87 tune with the 91/93 fuel we logged 3 short trips of several miles each and saw 26 / 29 /30 missfires on a warm engine not including the startup because we did not connect fusion to the phone until it was started . Today after reading from @OVTune about disconnecting the battery , we disconnected it for 20 mins on a cold truck . We then logged 4 short drives of about the same length and route as before .
First log included the startup on a cold truck and totaled 6 misfires ,
Second log was on a warm truck and started logging after startup , total of 1 misfire
Third log included start up , 1 misfire .
Forth log did not include start up and totaled 0 misfires .
These last 4 logs were only about 3 to 5 miles each and included driving in 5th and 6th gears (50 to 60mph)at 1100 to 1500 rpms starting from the bottoms of hills and did not increase the gas so as to let the truck shift on its own without pedal input from us. This should have been a heavy load and should have been as close to bogging as it could get .
We will keep monitoring it and on longer trips but so far so good.
Again thanks all ! we would have never known it was misfireing .
The truck shifts smooth and runs great and is getting 20 to 23 mpg under the average rural all hills ,highway doing 50 to 60 mph.
    Stock truck with a shell ,2016 4x4 , had the latest 04B04 TSB .

To get a 'clean' version of the 87 tune, is it necessary to reset the ECU via battery disconnect immediately after flashing/verifying, or can I be lazy and just disconnect the battery to clear out the ECU's stored values without doing a re-flash?

I switched from 93 down to 87 recently to see if it was worth spending the extra buck a gallon. Want to make sure I'm doing a fair comparison and not getting less than optimum behavior from the 87 tune due to leftover values from the 93 version.

Those custom files are pending. Only tune released is the 1.05 base file.
