Has anyone removed their front air dam on their Limited? Curious how it looks and if it has had a negative impact on gas mileage? Thanks.

I think most are good for about one MPG if you do mostly HWY driving. Around the city, zip for the most part.

I removed it from my Limited but added the TRD skid plate, it looks much better IMHO. I also do a 200 mile trip to the cabin of mostly highway miles almost every weekend, it made zero noticeable difference in my MPG's over the 5 months I had it on. Tailwinds or headwinds have a much larger effect, that can vary my MPG's by 2-4

Any chance anyone can share a pic of their Limited without the air dam?

It literally takes five minutes to remove it. Take it off and if you don't like it, put it back on.

Just remove it and see it takes minutes.

Also there’s lots of pics in the thread about removing the dam.

Took it off, didn't like it, put it back on. It would look great if I had a skid plate to go on, but alas. I didn't care for the exposed supports etc.

I have taken them off on previous Tacomas I've owned but didn't love the look. Also didn't love the look with it on. So this is what I did. TRD Sport but pretty much the same.thumbnail_IMG_4715.jpg

When I posted the above picture I was viewing it on a large television monitor and could see the air dam clearly. I see now looking at this picture on a regular size computer monitor that the air dam is not visible at all. Hopefully this pic is better.thumbnail_IMG_4814.jpg

I went from 25MPGs to 15 MPGs after I removed the air dam.

It of course had nothing to do with the 6'' lift, 37'' tires, 5.13 gears, 500 pound bumpers, winches front and back and a bed full of recovery gear and 2 extra spare wheels and tires.

Amazing what a little piece of plastic will do but remember this, a CC weighs but a fraction of an ounce but will make you a beast of burden struggling under a financial load if you point it in the direction of your Tacoma.

I took my air dam off and when i went to start my truck, my tank showed empty.
I put the air dam back on and i had a full tank. I'm never going to take it off again.

by the trucks readout, i went the other way. 10mpg to 20mpg.

of course, my air dam removal coincided with changing jobs. i started driving 30 miles instead of 3.

Be careful, it will void your warranty. The dealer will not change my oil anymore because if this, either.
