Tacoma Lifestyle shipping turnaround?

    I placed my first order with them that said “item in stock, fast shipping” saw nothing for a week, messaged them, response was they were behind after the Labor Day sale, and suddenly get a shipping email but tracking has been sitting there for 4 days saying USPS still waiting for package…is this their norm? If so I’ll hesitate to order from them again.

    I mean, it’s not a critical part but 10 days later and no movement…No clue when my “in-stock” item will ship…‍hmm

    I drive a Miata.
    Most of these sites define "in-stock" as their wholesale vendor has it in stock. They don't keep a warehouse of their own. It usually ships directly from the wholesaler.

    That's why I don't use sites like that. Oh, and also the aftersales support. That will be a challenge too.

    I've noticed more and more since covid shipping seams sluggish idk if you can actually blame the site or the mail, that said their after sales support would be a flag good luck

    I ordered some stuff from them a couple weeks ago. Several items shipped a couple days later and several shipped several weeks later.

    I believe they drop ship some items and it depends on when those third parties ship.

    Yeah I'm no mailman but maybe shipping labels are generated under their company address, I like when it says shipped but it takes days to show package location or it makes several trips around the country

    So- a 30k sqft warehouse that you ship from??? I understand not being able to cancel an order from a third party distributor. But, since you stock and store and pick the items yourself, why would an order that was asked to be cancelled several times prior to being shipped still be shipped to a customer anyway??????

    Well I was promised a t-shirt that never came (lost points though!), so perhaps their priority is new customers rather than maintaining old ones. Most of their stuff can be found at other retailers or at the manufacturer themself.

    I do like the aesthetic of the website I guess. :thumbsup:

    Ordered some grille raptor lights from Tacoma Lifestyle. Sent email asking for an ETA and tracking info. Received an email back with tracking info but no ETA. After checking the tracking number I was given and seeing that only the label had been created, I emailed for some additional info. I was told multiple times over several emails that my order would ship asap and was ready and waiting to be picked up by the USPS. I checked the tracking info and it showed it still hadn’t shipped. I have asked them to cancel the order several times. They refuse to do so. It hasn’t even shipped yet! Tyler from Tacoma Lifestyle told me that they are still going to ship it and that I may pursue a return and refund once I have received the product???? Why ship it if I have asked for it to be cancelled????? Doesn’t seem like a good-faith business or business practice to me. I will never purchase anything from this company again. I have contacted the BBB in Utah for assistance in getting the order cancelled. I have also disputed the charge on my card- the response from Tyler at Tacoma Lifestyle- “I see that you may open a chargeback. We will not be able to return the item for a refund unless the chargeback is canceled and then can help you with a return for a refund. We have some shipping delays due to a recent sale we had. We have had a large excess of orders and we have been short-handed. We are working hard to get these issues taken care of for you and get your order to you. We ask that you close the chargeback if it has been opened so we can help you out. If you open a chargeback it will likely cost you more money since the item is being shipped to you and the credit card company may rule in our favor. We do not want to have an unnecessary dispute. Let me know how you want to proceed. We want to get you taken care of.”

    The tracking info shows it still has not shipped as of today and the order still has not been cancelled.

    UPDATE- the BBB of Utah sent a response stating that their rating for Tacoma Lifestyle is an “F”.
    Also, I just received a text from Tacoma Lifestyle stating that my order has shipped????? I asked them to cancel it at least 5-6 times.

    I asked for Tacoma Lifestyle to cancel my order multiple times. Neither Tyler nor Sebastian would do that. I really wish no further contact with your company, I’m tired of being lied to. I guess $56.65 was the cost of this lesson regarding your company. I’ll let the credit card company handle it.

    As a vendor of TL and having had worked with them over the last two years, these guys mean well, will take care of you, and aren't looking for a quick buck. You can call my opinion biased, but I wouldn't discredit any small business for a few bad situations. I can tell you as someone who ships dozens of orders a week, it's not just someone sitting around waiting for you to place an order. There are likely a couple of days worth of orders rolling through for the scale they are at. From my experience, they keep all their products in stock at their own warehouse in Utah.

    Ultimately, they are still a small business with daily growing pains. I can tell you as a one-man-band, I get people upset after 2 days of an order not shipping. Cut them some slack and I'm sure they will make it worth your while.

    I can completely understand that and know that not every customer is going to be completely satisfied by any business. I am in a customer-facing role for my employment and know that bad situations are a matter of percentages. I believe that it isn’t necessarily how the situation ended up bad, it’s how it gets resolved that is key.

    At this point, it isn’t so much the delay in shipping as it is them telling me multiple different dates that it would ship and didn’t. Then, not acknowledging/ performing the request to cancel the order. As I mentioned before, I had made that request and was told it could not be cancelled because it had been shipped already. Order placed 9/7. Label created 9/13. I was told it just needed to be picked up 9/15. Tracking showed it had not been picked up 9/15, yesterday or as of this morning. I asked them to cancel the order Sunday morning. Yesterday is when I was told it couldn’t be canceled because it had been shipped already. I received a text notification TODAY at 2:00 that it had just been picked up by USPS. There really is no explanation for them shipping it to me after I asked for them to cancel the order when the order/product is still at their facility.

    Is that something you would do?

    If they would’ve said “yep, we’ll do and a full refund will be credited back to your card.”- problem solved. Energy, and frustration alleviated, time and money saved for all involved.

    Instead, I now have a package coming that I don’t want. I will have the hassle of returning it, paying for shipping it back and a restock fee to look forward to.

    Placed my order on the 8th, label created on the 13th. And no movement since. Emailed support and was told it would ship on the 18th or 19th, now the 20th and it still doesn't appear to have shipped.

    I agree with your frustration I ordered gun parts a few black fridays ago and I knew when I placed my order there would be delays so I gave them extra time even though the website said all the stuff I ordered was in stock ready to ship this wan't a 3rd party company, so after 3 weeks I reached out and was told there was an unexpected delay but but was assured my order was next to ship again a waited another week with no shipping info I told the company I wanted to cancel they told me to wait. long story short after a month and a half I disputed the payment through my credit card and contacted the BBB about 2 wks later my order arrived I called to company they said to keep the items and offered a discount code for a future purchase as an apology. I kept the items and deleted the email with the code I was done, the whole incident could have been avoided with better communication I understand shit happens now they've lost a customer and got a bad review on multiple platforms word of mouth is gold!
