Im working on a HC rear bumper and we cut the fenders behind the tires and in doing so, removed the factory support bracket. I'd like to support these floppy fenders but i havent been able to find any rear fender supports for purchase...
But, since i'm a mechanical engineer and have access to a CNC plasma cutter and powder coater, i thought id design and make some fancy support brackets.

So if there is any interest for some fancy brackets from fellow HC guys/gals, i can cut a whole bunch of them and sell them for around $50 for a powdercoated pair with hardware included.

here is a bad drawing of what i was thinking, still utilizing the original fender bracket mounting location on the bed

I used the factory one but cut it up to fit. Maybe these pics will help. I cut tabs when I trimmed my fenders for 35’s so I was able to connect it to that. I didn’t realize brute force fab sent some with the bumper until I had already made these.F322A3FD-D9D1-47DF-911B-71C79788E162.jpg 24B95E6F-A40E-4458-A9E6-93B1DC23A949.jpg

$50 sounds a bit expensive. I made my own with a strip of aluminum and bent with a vice. Will never rust and been on there for 10 years without issues. Cost me around $10

I've been running my rear HC for over 4 years without brackets...seems like a solution looking for a problem.

$10 worth of scrap aluminum with some new holes drilled into the webbing of the bed area. Doesn’t take an engineer and Ulysses S. Grant to fix

Yeah some plumbers strap and self tappers could be done for ~$3

Key word in OP: “fancy”. Surely I can’t be only one that likes knowing I have nice parts even if no one can see them

I misread your OP. I thought you needed help making some for yourself, my bad. Somebody on here would probably spend $50 on that. It was a nonissue enough for me to not even look in the box for mine that were included before making my own, though. Someone above didn’t even bother at all. So do with that knowledge what you will...

I imagine so, not sure what the market would be for something like that. There would be people interested in sure. As for me, I’m function over form, if I can’t see it as long as it’s doing its job I couldn’t care less how it looks.

I'd pay maybe $19.99 at most. Not knocking your idea OP, just too easy to make for cheap.

yeah im not sure the market for it either. but the durability and pleasing aesthetics that i plan for this seems to align perfectly with the BPF mission statement. so i can send some over if we really wanted to quench our curiosity (kidding of course)

The real question here should be. Are you building your own HC rear? Or are you installing one? And proof would be nice!:D
