Hello All. Is there away to easily find out the color of a Tacoma? Most sites just list silver or gray and not the specific color. There are a couple of Tacomas I am looking at and I would like to know the specific color.

    Thanks all.

Other than running the VIN, or asking the dealer/seller, I don’t know of any.
I always avoided sites that use factory or generic advertising photos, I want actual before I invest any more time. That’s said, I know they’re in demand and sell quickly, so it’s probably tough.

Here is an example. I believe it's cement, but there is at least one color from that year that looks similar.

@The Mink - yeah, I have done that. However, some colors look fairly similar i.e. MGM & cement (at least to my eyes) and I wanted to verify without having to contact the dealer (because sometimes they have no clue).

There is a 3rd generation color thread in the title threads of the 3rd generation section.

@tacofish -- that is what I have read. However, I have not seen the cars in person yet and therefore can't verify.

MGM is quite a bit darker than cement

@baldbeardedtaco - that is what I thought. However, sometimes the lighting in the images is off.....or way off. So, it can be tough for me to tell the difference.

For normal eyes, it is impossible to confuse cement with Magnetic Gray Metallic, in any light. Maybe Silver and Cement in certain light, but not MGM and Cement.

Depending on lighting where the picture was taken, especially if it is inside under fluorescents. Lunar Rock and Cement can look similar in web pictures.

    The "greys"

Cement (Flat Gray): 2017 (Pro Only) 2018 - 2021 (Lower models)
    cement.png

Celestial Silver Metallic (Normal Boring Silver): 2016+
    CSM.png

Magnetic Gray Metallic (MGM - Darker Graphite Gray): 2016+
    MGM.png

Lunar Rock (Flat Greyish Green): 2021 (Pro Only) 2022 - 2023 (Lower models) - This one pops up sometimes when filtering by "Gray" or "Green" depending on the dealer, personally I would call it green

It is good you are investigating colors. My bother is color-blind and one time he bought a purple truck because he thought it was blue.
