Folks new to form because I bought a 2022 Tacoma SR 4 cyl last Saturday.
I am a old guy a struggling with all new stuff on these vehicles. and my little truck is the basic truck. Ha ha.
I had a 2010 dodge so I am only 14 yard behind. Any way love my truck bought it with 9000 miles on it last Saturday. I see I have a green icon light next to the temperature read out.
I thought maybe door was not shut. That was not it. What is is green light mean and how do I get it off here is the picture. need your help.
    Thanks. Marty

Press the matching button on the steering wheel to disable. Beeps at you when it senses you changing lanes or crossing lane lines without signaling

Man you guys on this forum are great.
Ever time I get in this truck a sensor goes off.
Ha ha ha. And this is the Tacoma that hardly has anything computer stuff on it. Ha ha.
I am at the point when I get in truck I am afraid to touch anything. Ha ha ha.
This morning I got in truck with my hands in my pockets so I would not touch anything.
Ha ha. No lie. Ha ha ha. I am in house so will try to get the light off tomorrow. I turned truck off twice but icon did go off so will
try some things tomorrow. Keep the ideas coming. I have to find the button on steering wheel to press. Thanks again Guys. Marty

The green light will change to orange and give you an audible alert when you trigger the LDA.

It's a safety accessory. No harm on leaving it on. I think it may default to the on position upon every start up.

LDA works above 30mph, I believe.

It's controlled by button on the steering wheel...along with DRCC (Dynamic Radar Cruise Control) distance bars.

The obnoxious beep machine when skimming lanes or on narrow country roads. Also not loud enough to beep over even the stock stereo, so double useless. Hit matching button on wheel to turn off.

You can press the button on the bottom right of your steering wheel to turn it off/on if you don’t want it beeping at you for getting close to the lines. It’ll default to whatever you choose on start up. I highly recommend checking out the manual too

Yes I found it on page 33-34 and 35 of the red book manual quick reference guide. A lot of buttons and switches I will need to go through , like 4 steps with 3 things to press on each step. Unbelievable. Not as easy as I thought. Switches and setting screen display. Menu , more switches. I will need to YouTube and watch it 10 times to get light it off. But at least I don’t have a issue. I thought I had a big problem. But thanks for getting me this far. Just to old for this stuff. Ha ha. Marty

Good news. With your guys help. Found the lane departure alert button on steering wheel. Held button down for 3 seconds and it beeped at me and turned off. Hope it’s gone for ever. Ha ha. Thanks. I went from a 2010 Ram 1/2 tradesman to this Tacoma so I am 14 years behind the times. I just hope I don’t press one of these 30 buttons on steering wheel and computer screen.
I don’t want to fire off a nuclear warhead out of Minot ND ( use to live in ND but now Iowa ). But just so every one knows you do have 11 minutes to get as far away from Minot as you can. Ha ha ha.
The old joke was if you see one of those missiles coming out of the ground you are about to have a really bad day. Ha ha.
Reason Russian has sent one back to Minot and it will hit in 11 minutes. So I am super careful now. ha ha. Marty

I found the LDA to be super annoying. It would beep every time I got close to the median on a divided street. I turned it off about the second day I had the truck, and it's stayed off for more than three years now.

    Who's LDA automatically comes on?

I engage mine on the steering wheel when using my DRCC (Dynamic Radar Cruise Control) since I have an aftermarket vintage grill/garnish.

No adjusting the Radar required and I have stock suspension.

It's been almost 2 years now...and system works as advertised.

nary a peep out of mine, unless I am driving over the stripes I am not supposed to.
Very rarely I would turn it off on extremely windy country backroads that have miles of switchbacks, that I could straighten a bit, when coming home late night after hog hunts.
