Yes, 2.5x12 is a good match and the "safe" choice, just easy to fit. Unless you want to get the King 2.5x14 "Short Body", its only 1" longer than 12"

You will need spacers, min 1.25" but probably better with 1.5"

1.5” should be perfect. I had an effective BS of 3.6” and my 295s still rubbed my shocks. Got bigger spacers pushing my to 2.9” BS and no more shock rub.

I'm running about 3" BS with 1.5" spacers maybe a little less and clear my 2.5s easily. So getting around a 3" BS or less would be optimal IMO to make sure you clear with room to spare.

@ARCHIVE The website states you can bolt these to the bed or run an additional crossbar to lock the towers out and prevent them from flexing? Any pictures on what this looks like?

Just made my decision once I go with your shock relocation. I think I’ll do the king 2.5x14 short body with my currently ordered hammer hangers. :transformer:Much excitement for whenever I can make this happen. Hahahahaha (will be a while)

It locks the towers out to stop the FRAME RAILS from rotating inward, not the towers from flexing, they are very stout. The stock frame crossmember is very weak
    (pic of my DCSB)

The washer plates shown come with the kit. You can weld a tube across if you choose

So... You only need to drill through the bed if you're going to add a crossmember? I'm wondering, just bolting the shock bracket to the bed, without a crossmember will help the frame rails from rotating inward. It doesn't seam the bed has much strength to it?

The bed is pretty strong as well, it has to be to retain a load in an accident. Once you bolt the tower to the bed and pound on it, you'll be like "Oh, that hurts my hand"

Very good. Thanks for the info. I've been working on putting my set on. Been very busy at work so a couple of hours here and there. Getting the old brackets off is a b***h.

I’ve always wanted a 63 swap, but man that’s a pretty impressive amount of flex.
Now you have me rethinking.. what to do, what do! Too many choices :goingcrazy: haha

I hope another new guy reads this. If you need suspension questions answered just email archive. I'm very, pleased with the customer service here. Hands down winner. Top quality materials and great communication. I'm very happy I did buisness here!

Same. I have the same shocks. Going 4:10 gears with a trutrac and relocates! With cams this will be epic!

Might be in that neck of the woods in September. It would be interesting to see 4.10 vs 4.30 etc

So I bought new axels with 10k miles. Front and rear. Had a trutrac installed. Shipping any day now. Better than stock but not radical like 456's

I'd like 430 as I may go 295's on my next tires. I'm not sure though. Like tall trucks and hp. I'll find a middle ground eventually.
