I will try to keep this short and sweet. I ordered a painted pro grille from Taco Vinyl on 6/12 and it was delivered on 7/3. For clarification of the pictures, as this isn't the usual way you see pro grilles painted, I went with a slightly different paint job on it after consulting with them on the phone. They agreed to paint it this way for an additional cost of ~$100. They stated they used to have this style listed on their site as the "V2" paint job but it didn't sell as well and was more work, so they took it down. Below is a photoshop mock up of what I was looking for:
    V2 Grilled Mock Up.png

The following are the photos showing the quality of what arrived:
    Left Outside.jpg Left Outside 2.jpg Inside Right Bottom.jpg Inside Center Bottom.jpg Right Outside Top.jpg Right Inside.jpg Left Outside Bottom.jpg Right Outside Bottom.jpg Left Inside Upper.jpg Middle Bottom.jpg Inside Left Bottom Dent.jpg T.jpg O.jpg T Bottom.jpg Y.jpg

I am really disappointed by this. I am the most concerned about the part on the left of the grille where the paint is already flaking/flaked off. The rest of it is annoying, and some spots more egregious than others, but I honestly would have just lived with it. But, the flaking will surely continue to get worse, especially during washes and inclement weather.

I emailed their support trying to figure out what we can do to get the situation fixed. I emailed them on 7/3(they day it showed up) and again on 7/8. I was very polite and understanding, as mistakes happen, but have yet to hear anything back from them. I haven't called because I would like to maintain a communication record at this point.

A tertiary problem is that I had a shop date scheduled to install a few thousand dollars worth of other parts to include suspension, wheels, etc. that I've now had to cancel and just sit on parts, as I need this grille to lower the TSS.

I'm wondering if anyone else has any experience with this company and has had any similar issues. Furthermore if anyone has any advice on how to deal with the situation. I should be able to fall back on PayPal for a refund at the end of the day, but would much rather have the grille I've been waiting on for a month at a reasonable quality.

    This and that
Don’t worry about the tss being lower. I’ve switched out 3 different grills, 3 different tss heights. The last one threw a “code” after a few hundred miles it learned where it was.

Best course of action is to call the company. Not sure why you are so set on communicating via email but obviously they do not monitor their inbox routinely. Other possibility is that these dudes are on vacation and shut down operations for a couple weeks.

Furthermore, I've communicated with them via email throughout this experience and they were responsive. Lastly, if they "shut down operations" they should have posted a notice on their website and set their emails up to auto reply with that information, basic business etiquette.

Updating the tread for anyone that searches this company before purchasing from them. I have received one email from them since my inquiries started on 7/3. That email came on 7/10. I immediately emailed them back and sent a follow up since then, with no response. I called them and they did not answer the phone.

You have more patience than I do and I would have already been demanding my money. It’s pretty obvious they have no intention of making it right so before any more time elapses I would get PayPal involved for a refund.

If possible buy an OEM grille and have a local shop paint it to your satisfaction. My experience with aftermarket parts is not that great so anytime an OEM part is available and can be modified in lieu of paint I will go that direction.

I ordered bumper caps from them and the paint quality was good, yours looks pretty rough.

Yeah man, I already filed with Paypal, and the BBB. I'm out of patience lol. I think that might be the play, OEM and a local paint shop. I've only bought 2 things that weren't OEM so far and both have failed me, maybe I've learned my lesson lol.

Looks like it was 'previously owned' and 'returned' in not so great condition and they boxed it up and shipped it to you.

I assume you paid via a credit card, and as a secondary resort you might get them involved. If the company has any sense
the will not want to lose a connection to a credit card, who will stop processing payments. If you go this route the sooner
you contact the credit card company the better.

If I opened the box for my new 'grill' and found something like that it would have went right back.
