Does anyone have any experience with the Taco Tunes Tweeter upgrade kit?

I was also just looking at those taco tunes upgrade tweeters. Came here to look and see if they’re any good. They are very affordable right now!

D-Money I have them installed now and honestly they're just a little better than the OEM front speakers. But they're definitely an upgrade. So my take on them is I would buy them again if I had to do it over again

If they’re just a little better than the stock tweeters then I might as well still go for the highly praised subaru kicker tweeters. Apparently they are a BIG improvement.
Note: I’ve also ordered the the Kicker CS 3-way 6x9 speakers like so many others have done and say they are a very surprising BIG improvement.

I can tell you I just did the Subaru tweeter mod about 2 weeks ago and does make a big difference in clarity and overall sound. Definitely recommend

Apparently the subaru / kicker tweeters are not compatible with the JBL system from what I've seen. Different system, different tweeters, different power ratings I'm guessing.

Yes I was told Subaru tweeters wouldn’t work...maybe it’ll work for everyone else too?

ugh I bought DS18 PRO-TWX1 aluminum super bullet 1" tweeters but haven't installed yet, that I haven't put them in yet is my ugh...I mean they cost me $30 and can handle 240 watts...pretty sure they'll beat the snot out of the $100 subaru stock tweeters though.

i also chose to NOT use kicker...went with superior rockford fosgate's. If i'm spending over $100 for a couple speakers why would I ever settle for kicker!? RF's were like $140 a pair and can handle 200 watts and are rated superior to kickers in both rms and max AND sound quality...and sound quality was my only search criteria. I could have spent $500 for 2 or even 4 speakers but i went with these because I plan to get an equally high sound quality amp that will power them adequately and I'm going for loudness but QUALITY not "let me annoy everyone in a half mile radius" nonsense. These speakers already sound better than stock and are half powered. Before I couldn't hit anything over 40 volume without the sound going to shit...these...I hit 50 and they are AMAZING!!!! JESUS when they are properly powered! and OH SHIT when I get a HU that is highly rated on sound quality (bell and whistles be damned...I'm going for sound quality! but I'll still end up with the features I want)

Don't go with the flow...research. Cheapest upgrade is the "oem" system out there...it's not cheaper...just faster for a slight upgrade. "it's tuned to the" oh shut up, bs selling point. All it gets you is the cheap ass kicker system with a weak ass woofer. My setup will blow all of them out of the water and I don't mean by rattling my neighbors windows but pure sound quality ;)

I think if you have the JBL you're basically on your own. The crutchfield catalog showed exactly zero speakers that would work with it, last time I looked.

If you have jbl you'll have to pay close attention to the ohms of aftermarket...I think those serious about upgrading OEM jbl basically rip out EVERYTHING. Like my lexus ls430 with the premium setup...would have to change literally everything unless I paid VERY CLOSE attention to the ohms of the speakers, amp, and head unit I was putting in
