TACO GARAGE'S OFF ROAD WORTHY MAGNETIC MOUNTS.
I've used a magnetic mount to mount my phone on my DMM for a while and although most magnetic mounts that are readily available work good for most of my on-road driving, there's often times where I wish I had a clamp style mount, especially when off-roading.
What ended up doing is swapping out the mounts when I was gonna go off road which wasn't terribly inconvenient but still annoying.
Anyone who has used a magnetic mount knows how convenient it is to be able to just slap your phone on and off the mount and I wanted to have that same experience when off roading. I had a hard time finding a solution but then, I did. I liked it so much, that I decided to bring it to our store and they are now available for purchase on our website, we call them Mighty Magnets, we have the regular version and a "Mega" which is simply a larger, stronger version that holds more wight. Here's a short video demo of the smaller Mighty Magnet holding an ipad mini.
These magnets WILL hold a phone or even a tablet while off roading pretty hard. I personally tested the Mega with my iPad Pro 12.9 while going down a very rocky hill, everything was bouncing around quite bit but the ipad didn't even move.

I have a 67 design mount that works well off-road and you only use one hand to mount your phone to it.

I've seen that mount, I like it too but I've never actually had it on hand and used it

mine for the pixel 4a and one of those magnetic pop socket mounts has worked well for me driving like a raving ape around town. Doesnt even flinch jumping curbs or speed bumps at the mall.

If im gonna hit the trails i just pocket it to avoid the risk. Worth my 6 bucks at walmart imo.
The window mounts are what suck. Heat in Az melted the glue onto my windshield

Yeah thats just an iPad mini, it will easily hold larger tablets though. The larger the tablet the higher the risk of it falling off obviously, however the magnet is strong enough that on road use will not be an issue even with larger tablets. off road use is still ok with small and medium tablets but if you put a $1200 ipad pro 12.9" on a 1lb case and then mount it and go jump your truck, I can't promise it will hold.

How do you think it will work with a phone that has a larger case? I have an iPhone 11 pro max with a larger UAG case that is pretty thick. I ran a Scosche mount for a while and it would hold but spin in circles on the mount.

I just installed a CourseMC magnetic one....hoping it works out. It has the most OEM look of all the options, IMO.

My ram magnetic mount works really well. Holds my phone pretty damn tight even wheeling. I've had some in the past that would roll upside down but the Ram branded magnetic one is solid. It's designed to stick to the outside of your car (not while moving), or any other flat metal surface.

These are now available! I've been testing them for a while now and I am NEVER going back to any other style of mount. I love being able to slap my phone or tablet on and off of the mount easily and the fact that I can even do it off road is priceless.

At a small additional charge. lol

Edit to note: I'm using the DMM with both the MM for my phone, and the MMM for an ipad mini, and I can fully endorse both.

    It's a clean, solid setup.

Does your DMM fit '21s also? I didn't see it specified on the product page and I noticed in the pics the headunit is different from what I have so I wanted to check. Thanks!
