Imo no. Stick with OEM. But my opinion isn't based on any data or facts.

WS is synthetic. It's not the best, but its not a real weak point.

Most use the valvoline synthetic ATF here if they don't use OEM WS.

Nah !!! WS is semi synthetic and it burns up quickly
sticking to my guns here .
Throw some synthetic max life in there and you will be good for at least another 30k
Better yet , I would run this stuff over OEM any day of the week .
Check it out at the link below
Full synthetic and is highly friction modified

I'm a gearcruncher adherent, sooooo probably gonna do more research and shy away from WS next drain and fill.

What is your opinion on mixing the fluid?
    As for drain and fill?
Or would it be better to find a shop to do a full system evacuation and fresh fill?

Basing my opinion on Taco,s that come in to the shop for a fluid service . Some of them have never seen a fluid change . Many are low from the factory and I believe its one of ther major reasons the fluid gets burnt up so quickly .
I have zero issues using WS as long as you stick to Toyotas service interval .
Keep in mind that Toyota recomends changing the fluid every 60k under ideal conditions .

    Nope !!
Dont mix the fluid . Stick with WS for pan drops . If you are doing a complete flush , its fine to go with a different brand but I highly suggest going with a fully syntheic fluid .
WS is semi semi synthetic and has a different coefficient of friction compared to the fully synthetic fluid
Max life full synthetic or better yet , run Lubeguard in the link above
Our valve bodies are incredibly prone to wear being completely made from aluminum .
Keep the fluid as clean as possible

Is lubeguard an additive we can add to WS? I currently have two drain and fills @ 55k, upgrading to a full synthetic sounds nice, but I DIY everything and can't confidently swap fluids.
