I’ve seen some people on here recommending the gorilla lug nuts to replace what came on the truck. At 130k miles I think they need to go before they really get stuck, from swelling.

Would these work? Figured I’d ask the experts before ordering them. It seems like the mag style is what Toyota uses, so I want to make sure I’m not ordering the wrong thing.

other product recs would be appreciated if I’m on the wrong track.

I have the stock off road wheels on my truck.

Those won't work with OEM wheels.
They're ET lugs designed for some aftermarket wheel applications.

You need OEM mag style lugs. Gorilla does make them.

I wouldn’t go with Gorilla, I would (and did) go with the OEM 1-piece lugs from Japan. They are exactly like the stock lugs, except they won’t swell up.

I'm not impressed with my Gorilla lugs.
Replacing OEM with Gorilla is a downgrade.

I have the aftermarket Gorilla lug nuts with 90,000 on them and no issues. My buddies 18 TRD had the factory lug nuts swell at 85,000. I think whatever you chose it will be a wearable part and need periodic inspection, just like the lugs themselves.

Don't overthink it. Discount Tire replaced mine with whatever they have in stock. Lug nuts aren't rocket science. Just avoid the factory junk with sheet metal stampings over them. I don't understand why any of the manufacturers don't just put solid nuts on all vehicles.

I am coming up with this part number as fitting. 9008494002
    https://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/p/TOYOTA_2016_TACOMA-TRD-Off-Road-Extended-Cab-Pickup-Fleetside-35L-MT-4WD/Wheel-Lug-Nut/4208317/9008494002.html

This link is saying the 90942-01033 doesn’t go with the 2016 off road. Not sure what the difference is, they both look the same, just two different sites and part numbers.
    https://parts.longotoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-lug-nuts-alloy-wheels-9094201033

    any ideas?

Yeah, not surprised there. Haven’t seen them in the Tacoma sizes but on Jeeps, they are pretty junky. Lots of rust issues quickly. I’m happy with an OEM 1 piece solution.

The vehicles made in Japan with our lug size (4R, FJ, some Lexuses) come with the 1 piece option I listed. What you listed is the same stock capped style you already are having trouble with.

the ones I listed don’t “fit” because they aren’t original, but they fit. The part number I listed is what I bought.

LED interior, license plate, and fog lights. More to come.
The only aftermarket lugs I've been impressed with are McGard. Gorilla and all the others have rusted if they were chrome or flaked if they were black ones.

Echo all above. The gorillas are overpriced and mine have not held up well.

Can we get a Title Edit? Swollen Nuts would be pretty fun.

Both of the work trucks the company uses in my area (including mine) have ended up needing replacement lug nuts as the OEM ones wore out, one at 185K and the other at 230K. New ones are one-piece design that the tire shop I go to says they specifically use because they don't have the issues the two-piece lug nuts do.
