Installing a switch next to the 12v outlets in the cab. My plan was to tap into the outlet for switched power but I do not want to pull the entire dash.

Does any one know of a good switched power wire I can use in the cab? Only using it to switch on a relay.

Along with that does any one know of a good wire that will give power when the lights come on to illuminate the switch?

For some reason I'm not finding what I need searching.

    Thanks.

I would go to your fuse box to get what you need. Just use a simple add a fuse and your set. If you have a multimeter or voltage light it will be easy to find which source is switched power and powered when the headlights are on. If you don't have either of those then there is always the good old fashion way of pulling out a fuse and testing the function until you have taken power away from a source you know to be switched power etc. In reality though it should be pretty obvious from the panel which fuse handles what function, but always good to double check before doing your wiring.

Completely brain farted the fuse box in the cab, I'm going to get some fuse taps, tap into the tail light fuse to illuminate the switch with the lights, and then the accessory power fuse to send the power signal to the relay.
