I am trying to come up with a serviceable mounting solution Switch-Pros 9100 or RCR-FORCE 12 in a 2023 Tacoma.

I like the PowerTrays accessory bundle due to how neat the wiring ends up being and how it's laid out on this tray, but I'd prefer to have the retaining bolts for the tray on top, as they are on the sdoffroadmt tray.

It would be helpful to hear some opinions on mounting solutions and/or see what others have devised to mount the Switch-Pros power system.

Thanks. I may get back to you about that when I acquire more parts.

Metal mount or not, if I had my druthers I would put the whole thing in a hinged Amphenol-type enclosure with an IP55 rating and bracket that to the chassis for limited water protection. It would not trap moisture from condensation, and all the cables could go through one end. An enclosure with inside dimensions of 9" x 6" x 3" might be able to handle the following
    provided
    • there is a total of 2.5" of relief between the 9100 and the terminal block to handle the plugs and allow for looping the wires under the center plug to the terminal block,
    • the bus bar is common to both the terminal block and the fuse block,
    • and the spacing between each side and the bus bar is .75".
That would be a total of 8.81" taken up by all components plus the spacing. Might be too tight, but it could be worth investigating.

The 2023 TRD Sport 4x4 6MT clutch master cylinder plumbing appears to be unique among TRDs. A hose from the common reservoir crosses the otherwise-usable space next to the brake master cylinder to reach the clutch master cylinder. I had pre-built an enclosed solution for the power center that now has to be completely dismantled and cannibalized since it is way too big.

I had never seen an example of my master cylinder setup posted anywhere online prior to receiving my truck. Following something like an SDHQ mount just for mounting the SP9100, there is going to be little room for a mounting solution for a terminal block and bus bar. The SP9100 wires are still at full length. Ideally, I still would like to have the terminal block and bus bar in a plastic enclosure and have that be as small as possible and easily moved.

    The SP9100 is installed.
    AC 6MT Build Project

Given the changes I had to make to the SDQH plate as well as the way I had to mount the plate it appears
    • the 6MT presents a unique case for installation due to the presence of the hydraulic fluid hose running between the brake master cylinder reservoir and the clutch master cylinder.
    • an RCR-FORCE 12 would be a tough fit since I had to cut the bottom corner off of the SDHQ plate to clear the harness and hood latch cable.
This installation required a very compact configuration.
