Debating on taking off my sway bar. One of my end links is trashed and is clicking and poping. Is anyone running with out it on a almost daily driver?

Im a daily driver without a sway bar. Im not running kings but i am running bilstein 5100's at medium setting and I have no complains. It does sway into the corners more but not so much that you would feel like your gonna tip over or anything. The ride was slightly improved without the sway bar as the left and right were now independent of each other. Better also for off roading for better flex. But as a daily driver it drives just fine on road.

I have had my sway bar off for over a year. Hiway speeds with some tight turns I get a little edgy. I dont have kings I have OME

This guy made some really sweet disconnects but he temporarily closed shop, thats been over a year now :(

I have Kings w/ 600# coils and took my sway bar off almost 2 years ago...my truck is my daily and weekend warrior and sees ~20k miles a year. Haven't regretted removing it one bit.

There is a slightly more noticeable body roll on turns if you take them at speed but far from sketchy. I live in Los Angeles and commute daily...I've made my fair share of evasive maneuvers with the sway bar off, some of them at highway speeds. I'm still alive lol.

Doesn't sound like he's coming back...that personal message on his website homepage sounded a little brutally honest ("I want to spend time with my family, not making you new Toyota parts or building other people's projects) sounds like he was starting to resent the whole thing. Probably enjoying his time with the family and doesn't want to get back into it, that's my guess anyway. That's good for him though, family should always come first.

Wouldn’t be too worried about cornering. I’d be more worried about having to swerve and correct quickly at highway speeds etc if trying to avoid accidents.

I had a guy a few months ago enter the freeway from the on-ramp and immediately cut across 3 lanes without looking...right into my lane where I was going about 75mph. The first two lanes were open, the freeway was pretty much empty. Figured he was aiming for the lane next to me. But then he comes into my lane just as carelessly (obviously not using his mirrors) and I had a split second to react. Bear in mind I'm lifted with no sway bar on. I had no choice but to swerve and I was really surprised at how well the truck handled it. I didn't feel like I was about to lose control at all. If the road had been wet/rainy I'm sure that would have been another story, but that would have been more dangerous even with a sway bar on. A-hole just put his hand out the window and waved like "oh I'm sorry!", could have killed my wife and I if I hadn't swerved when I did.

I'm not trying to convince anyone to take it off, I think its totally up to whatever makes a person comfortable. Some people might notice the difference more than I do, I know it's there but it doesn't bother me. But it might for some others

My understandng is that the Kings have a built in anti sway to them in the valving. I was running a Downey 5lug kit with Beilstein 4600s befor I did my 6lug convertion with No sway bar. That kit was so stiff It didnt matter. Im going to disconect it next week and see how it feels. Driving in Tahoe im never doing more then 55mph anyway.

True and you are on much windier roads on a daily basis than I am down here, so that's something to consider. I didn't know about the anti-sway valving, that's pretty cool though if that's the case. Although I do want to get mine revalved for a softer ride eventually.

My suspension setup looks similar to yours except I'm on icon coilovers but I drove around unknowingly(forgot to reconnect my end links lol) for a bit and the ride felt smoother and I noticed there was more body roll in turns. Sometimes it feels sketchy taking a turn fast and when you may have to move out of the way in an emergency but you can adjust your driving accordingly. I'd say give it a try and if you don't like it, put it back on.

What he said. I have Kings Front/ back, and 600# coils on my daily driver. I removed sway bar and have had no issues; in fact I prefer it.

Thanks for all the input everyone. I'm going to remove it next week and test it out.

I actually went out and bought one because the PO took it off. I went out and bought good end links and hooked it up. I made a trip out to Arizona from California with it hooked up. I drove 10 minutes off road and immediately pulled it off and posted for sale. If you never go off road leave it. If you do pull it off. The difference I noticed on the street only really applied on long sweeping turns and corners. If you have Kings I’d just take it off and sell it bud
