well when i woke up this morning i went out and took a look at the front ride height w/sway bar still on. flexed it as best i could in my driveway to see what kinda travel it had. it was ppretty goo but it seemed as if the front end was limited and was throw most of the flew at the rear tires. got pictures also to show the difference.

i went ahead and took our the front sway and end links completely. when i let it down and moved it to unload the suspension i imeadiately notice it looked like the front end sat a little higher. went and flexed it again to see what it had and it had alot more front end give.
    Now for the road test...
well to say the least im pleased with the way it rides now but the handling is absolutely terrible. im a bit of a spirited driver at times bbut not on the gas more of in the turns. not that a taco prerunner will handle super well. the body roll is much more noticeable now.

i next took it down a gravel road. it was a bit smother but a bit more jerky steering. after which i went down a little local trail and once again noticed more articulation and oddly enough a bit better handling offroad. ill post the pictures tonight.

i dunno im inbetween ill give it a week and see what i think. i could probably live with it off. my truck is just my commuter and my every once in a while off roader. dont really run it hard. i own two other vehicles besides it to beat the shit out of.

why? im liking the smoother ride but the body sway is nuts if i corner kinda fast. can you give me a good mechanical reason to put it back on?

You'll get used to the body roll, trust me. It won't hurt your truck at all. The only time I put mine on is for long trips, but I take it back off as soon as I get home. Its all personal preference, some people like it and some people don't.

i like it off, and i'm on road most of the time. no more do i feel the whole truck jerk when one side of the truck runs over a pothole. i don't drive fast and hug corners so i dont have to worry too much about body roll

i took mine off and i love it, even with some fast turns, it has body roll but you just have to get used to it and know how fast you can turn, but honestly your driving a truck not a bmw so thers no reason for you to be turning that fast, i love the ride offroad, its alot smoother and even coming off my driveway its noticeably smoother. i personally love the body lean, even on the freeway ive had to swerve into the next lane because of dumb drivers and at 75 switching lanes super quickly with a dirtbike in the bed had no problem. i say leave it off:D

dude check this out, if you dont like the body roll then you can keep a cheapo wrench on you and just remove it on the trails.. i would get a bit of bailing wire to hold up the bar so it doesnt dangle and is out of the way

it definitely does make a difference for suspension travel in the front of the truck. with my spacer lift it has alot less body roll but still kinda bugs me. ill let ya know how it goes this time around. the first time the body roll was unbearable to me.

Don't listen to him, he just wants to see if you'll do it.....

As for body roll you'll notice it til you get used to it,mines been off for over a year & love the added down travel, I stiffened my susp. up a little & almost all body roll is gone & can take those corners in a spirited manner as you say, leave it off if you like it ....;)

It is soooooo much easier to remove on 1st gen. than 2nd gen., just 4 bolts holding it underneath & 2 nuts holding the link rod to the spindle, done !! had mine off & hung up in 15 mins. 2nd gen is a pain in the ass....

I just removed mine yesterday, and what a difference it makes, i think im going to leave it off. The ride is so much smoother on and offroad, havent had a chance to flex it yet but will soon hopefully :D
