    Hey guys, am I able to just swap out the sway bar end link bushings or do I have to replace the entire end link? The bushings are shot right now. I have a 2001 4WD V6 Tacoma.
    Thanks

    It's easier to swap the whole thing, I wouldn't mess with it. Save an hour of your time for 10$?

    Do you recommend a specific brand for end links? Everywhere I see that are around $30 for each.

    @RockAuto
    I've most of the time found they have the best prices.
    Tacomaworld has a discount if you look up thier page here.
    I like Moog, but some don't.

    Exactly, storefront parts stores really run more expensive unless you know exactly how to deal with them. If you can order online I would say go for it.

    Thanks. Yea I’ll just get the moog ones to replace. These end links are not the kind where the two bushings sandwich the link so I wasn’t sure if they could be replaced.

    You can definitely do just the bushings, I did way back when I didn't really know what they were (but I could tell that they needed to be replaced). Ended up taking the sway bar off a couple months later!

    Replacing the Stabilizer Link Bushings

    If I were to do it again, I'd get the $12 set of 4 polyurethane aftermarket bushings, since that seems like a great deal and probably better than the rubber.

    yea looks like you have the end link where the bushings sandwich the link. I don’t have that one. I’ll have to get a picture because it’s hard to explain how mine looks different.

    I mean you "could" replace the sway bar and LCAs with one from a 98-00 but yeah, not worth it.

    Just get the double ended ones we have to deal with, maybe $40 total?

    also, maybe it's me at the end of the day but when someone mentions what they have and then someone else posts the "solution" for something the person doesn't have :annoyed:

    yeah they are just like that. I ended up ordering the Moog ones and yes spent $40 total. Which is totally fine I just was trying to go the cheaper route but if I’m gonna replace I’d rather have the whole thing brand new.

    Hey, at least it was still for a 1st gen. It's hard to know what is the same vs what is different between the various sub categories of 1st gens.

    My favorites are the "you need a body mount chop" to fit 33's" in the 1st gen section.
