    Hello everyone
Recently purchased a 2017 access cab 6SP off road sport - love it !

Question - has anyone swapped the oem cloth for oem leather seats ?
If yes, is the plug for power seats under my seat? Sometimes the oem uses the same wiring harness

just curious if someone already looked into this

I know I could look at katskin seat covers for my current seats as an option.

Does anyone know if the oem leather seats are any different in comfort than the oem cloth seats ?

    thanks

I do like my leather seats, however you do know that there is actually very little 'leather' in the 'leather seats'?

Katskins aren't so much a cover as they are a full reupholster. Clazzios are a cover that don't look like one.

just by the nature of the material, leather or pleather will appear to feel more "firm" than cloth when stretched over the same foam. For my budget, which is cheap, I went Clazzios. Some people prefer to spend a little more and get the Kats. There are one or two maniacs that preferred to spend even more and locate OEM seats. Honestly, if you are willing to go through that trouble, save yourself the grief and order a set of Kats through your local upholstery shop.

Get Katzkins. They’re amazing there’s a dealer on here that will get you the best price around. Way better than the factory leather.

I recommend the @Clazzio seat covers. Nobody can tell the difference.

+1 on seat covers. Removable if damaged or needs cleaning where "the seat itself" is not.

who is the Katskin dealer on the site? I have Katskin in my Subie. I bought it used, saw pictures of the leather seats but knew that car never came with leather seats. The Subie employee had Katskins put in, they look better than factory. Thanks for everyone's comments

The worst thing about seat covers is that they look like seat covers.

Oh god, I am an illiterate moron. I interpreted it that he wanted to swap out leather for cloth. Carry on.

LOVE my Clazzios. Have done twice on 18 and 23.

Clazzios are sweet, mine look like new going on 4 years. The memory foam to me is more comfortable than my friend's Katskins. I see Katskins have some wrinkles in the corners but are nice. If you take your time on the install Clazzios look factory installed. I'm 6 feet about 255 and like how the Clazzios feel compared to the more form fitted leather factory or Katskins.

I would not recommend buying someone’s cloth take offs. There’s is a fabric section that encloses the airbag that must be cut to be removed. It is sewn around the airbag and I’m not sure how you could reuse them safely.

There were no power seats in 2017, so you won't have a wiring harness.

I've had both Clazzios and Katzkin and you can't go wrong with either.

I found a local auto upholstery guy that was able to get me a great deal on Katzkins, almost 50% of what I was quoted online. They’re so much better than the cloth.
