I installed a new head unit with USB-C on the back which is pretty cool since it does the turbo charging and most of my stuff is USB-C now.

There's a cable to route into the cab for plugging into. I could possibly rig something together but has anyone done a clean swap of their USB-A port? I'm talking about the one with the hinge. It almost looks like a keystone. It'd be cool to keep the hinge cover if possible, has anyone has figured out a replacement that looks OEM? Thanks!

Are you talking about a female input on both sides?

Yeah to have a female USB-C input there. There's female coming out of the back of the head unit too if that's what you mean.

    Good luck with that.

All of the usb ports I have found that can fit a Toyota tall standard is a) charger only with no data, and b) loaded with so many unnecessary LEDs they scream "look who just spent 10 dollars on this shitty charger port!"

    Oh look, another mod....
The answers you seek are in this thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/anyone-found-usb-c-ports-that-we-can-add-to-our-dash.707268/

Or, you can just buy one of these cables: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Brai...d_r=e8c5ad38-088b-4076-ad3d-3a4e5dc07420&th=1
