Hi guys I'm new here. I've owned my 2006 tacoma for 5 years. My tires are running bald so I'm ready to get bigger tires and lift the truck a bit. Want it for hauling heavier weight and the aggressive stance. I'll be installing it myself, if you have any pointers or suggestions why or why not to go with the 4inch lift instead of like 3.5 inch lift

AFAIK, It’s 3.5” if installed on a 2nd gen and 2.5” if installed on a 3rd gen. The 3rd gen has a slightly higher ride height from the factory. The 3rd gen has only about 3” of downtravel (aka droop) from the factory and that is the upper limit for normal IFS lifts.

I just installed that exact kit, very satisfied with it. I upgraded the front coilovers to the vertex coilovers and the rear shocks to vertex aswell. If you buy them from rc you can do the vertex upgrade package its about $1300 more but i believe it to be worth the upgrade. It will take a little longer to install the vertex shocks but still pretty straight forward install
