I have spent a fair amount of time researching on line. I joined this forum and reached out hoping someone had personal experience. Thanks though!

I don't mean to be a dick about it, but if you did all that time researching then you must have found that 96 page mega thread where people are doing just that. Discussing their personal experience with supercharging their Tacomas.

IMO not worth it. Dyno tests show about a true 60HP increase. For 6k + another 2k installation you're looking at over 8k minimum for 60HP. And that's on a Dyno. Real world probably even less.

Are there any other alternatives or additions to the Supercharger to make more HP?

Not recommended for a Tacoma though :D

If you can do the install yourself and slave a little that helps of course. I installed mine about 3 weeks ago and feel it was worth every penny. Dyno doesn't reflect real world drivability, which I feel is greatly improved. This is one of those topics where you ask 20 different people and get 20 different answer's.

Like a few mentioned look at the Magnuson install mega thread lots of good info there.

Over 20,000 miles on mine so far. I am happy with the result, only going to get better with a new tune. I knew what I was getting into by the research and expectations. If you are expecting a racecar than you will be disappointed. It was a lot of money for the HP, but the cool factor is priceless!

I installed it myself, took about 12 hrs over 2 days. In the 12 hrs, I took breaks, had lunch ect. the last 2 hrs was putting fluids in and checking everything before final startup. Took a bit of time to bleed the cooling system and clean up. I feel 12 hrs is a good benchmark, I know others report doing it faster.

Our Toyota’s spend the majority of their time off road hunting in New Mexico and Mexico. No need for a snorkel kit.

dyno is 310 HP at the wheel and about 375ish at crank with the SC. Stock NA is maybe 225 HP at the wheel. and 275ish at the crank. SC made a significant improvement in drivability. NA was okay but weak compared to the SC. NA struggled to tow my 3K camper and the engine sounded like it was gassed and gonna shit rods. Same camper with the SC is no problem and the engine sounds strong and ready for more. Yes they are pricey - but once you own it the investment in a SC is less expensive than taking a bath on a trade or sale to purchase a Tundra V8. I like have a Tacoma with a V6 that drives like a V8. MPG - well I average over 20 mpg combined. A little hit from the gutless NA but worth it IMO even with the price of 91 octane fuel. Install is easy if you have tools and time, and actually fun to do.
