Considering using this. Always used Mobil 1. My brain hurts from reading about it.

As long as oil meets the required specs then I'll use it. Most of the time with rebates I can get Pennzoil, Mobil1, or Rotella 0w-20 for less than Supertech. If not, that's my go-to oil...

I'm all about buy once, cry once. My purchases when it comes to shoes, hobbies etc will reflect that. But seeing this oil meets the specs, and now Costco is carrying Warren oil, it is a pretty safe bet. (They pretty much never put the Kirkland logo on a crappy product)

5 quart jug of mobil1 at walmart is less than 30 bux, why would you risk buying anything else for that little of cost difference, and peace of mind? smh, Ski

SuperTech is an excellent oil made by Warren Distribution. In fact, Warren makes several house brands...SuperTech, Amazon Basics, Meijer and others.

I use it in many friend's and family's vehicles. Have for years. If I need oil right now and M1 isn't on sale, ST it is. In fact, I just added a quart of ST synthetic to a jug of M1 to have enough to do an oil change in my wife's '19 Corolla.

Hang out on BITOG where people know what they're talking about and you'll discover how popular ST is. And also....heaven forbid....you'll discover that the Fram Ultra filter is the best filter you can buy. That's right....Fram.

Why not buy the jugs of Mobil 1 at Walmart and send in for the $12 rebates they do all the time, works out to a little over $2 per quart.

They had a deal a while back for a $17 rebate on a jug/filter combo. I jumped on that. But I don't hesitate to ST either.

And it’s fast and easy with online entry of your receipt for rebates along with online checks

I run both ST and Amazon Basics oil in my truck and GX 460, and have for some time now. We both drive 28-30k mi. per year. Nothing wrong with either as they are simply rebranded Warren oils.

btw the high mileage supertech is supposedly better than the regular synthetic. My local store doesn’t carry it for some reason so I’ve never ran it.

It’s great oil. We use it for 10K OCI in the Toyota car, not the Tacoma, yet.

Thanks for all the replys. I dont think running ST will hurt my engine but ill look into those M1 rebates.

I think what is most important is the correct change intervals

Problem is, when do you know if Mobil 1 is on sale, not there that much to catch it on rebate.

Yes, that is a problem with the Mobil1 rebates, you have to spend a few minutes to check their website from time to time as they might do that particular rebate just a couple of times a year.
Once you get going though, getting 4 jugs in a year is pretty good.

They do them several times a year you just need to check the website, I usually buy 2 containers each time so I always have some on hand.

Just a heads up, Rotella has a $10 rebate going on. Tractor Supply has 5qt jugs for $18 right now, so after the rebate its a great deal

Yeah...the HM ST is a little heavier in it's weight class and contains seal and gasket conditioners. I've run it for many years in our '03 Camry and '04 Sienna, as well as my FIL's '03 Dakota. All 3 vehicles are well north of 100k...with the Camry pushing 200k.

Blackstone Labs stated some time ago that they could find no measurable difference in engine wear between oil brands. Their recommendation was to follow what the manufacturer says...in terms of viscosity and interval.

Pick a flavor and run with it.

That is a good deal. Some argue that Rotella is rebaged Pennzoil Platinum. So if you like either of those brands...find the one on sale

Thought I heard that Pennzoil platinum had some kind of wax in it that wasn't good in the long run?

I put 400K on my '91 F-150 straight 6 with good ol' 10-W-40 non-synthetic Valvoline. Truck was still running when we parted ways.

I use ST in the wife's Camry and Mobile 1 in the truck, but if I was forced to switch it up I wouldn't lose any sleep.

    Gonna have to vote yes..
