I'm looking far a replacement battery for my '07 DC 4x4. It's coming up on 4 years old. Truck purchased in 01/07, battery dated 08-30-06 OEM. I've had to clean massive amounts of corrosion off the + terminal several times over the past few years. Replaced the cable end with a brass marine unit from Autozone due to excessive corrosion. Battery reads 13.29v with ignition off. Alternator putting out 14.28v w/o load and 14.17v w/headlights on, fan on HI and radio on. Readings taken at idle. Reading the various threads on the OEM battery, I'm thinking that 4 years is the magic age for replacement.

Looking online, O'Reilly shows a Super Start replacement available for $80 with a 72 mo. warranty (2 yrs. full replacement) and 930 CCA. Sounds like the bargain of the century. Anyone have any experience withe this battery or any Super Start battery? Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Interstate makes the most reliable and affordable battery you can get in my opinion. If you can spring for it, get an Optima.

    Pretty much stock
The premium superstarts iirc are Deka batteries. The regular superstarts are made by johnson controls. I used to work for Oreilly back in the day when they first came to town around here, didn't sell many batteries so i can't say first hand about any issues we had with them.
