I got my son a power wheel jeep hurricane when he was 2, he drove it every day till the wheels finally fell off. He is 5 now, and its time for a upgrade.

Peerless rear diff and a 24 volt go kart motor, go kart front spindles and a custom "tesla" style battery pack should push this bad boy faster than he will ever need to go.

picking up some lawn tractor tires to go on there too. I need to get some pretty decent sized tires as I have to air them down since there is no suspension on this thing.

Got the axle all bolted down and the covers trimmed to fit over the metal. Moving on now to the front end to put in the go kart spindles.

Yeah, started as a hurricane, we ran 24 volts till the front wheels gave out. The front steering system is super loose, so both front wheel tow out alot, burned holes in the wheels after a year.

He loved the jeep too death, so now we rebuild!

Our new neighbor has a barbie jeep for his daughter, he picked up stage 5 motors and metal gear boxes. So I need to one up him with a super jeep of my own :)

Got the front knuckles on. All thats left is to weld the backbone to the front steering member, weld on the rear bumper then motor mounts.

Most of these parts I got way last year, but its a peerless axle, front go kart spindles, then I found a 500 watt electric motor with controller and pedal on Amazon.

Cool. Thanks. I have all of that already. Need to upgrade sprocket to bigger for more speed. Top speed is 11 currently. Needs bigger rubber tires and a better battery.

My neighbor has one of those razer go karts, maybe I will try to grab it from him and see what can be modded for speed.

I need to fix the chain tensioner on it at the moment as the kid snapped it off while taking it offroad.

Motor is 500 watts, so it should scoot pretty good. Progress is a little slower than I am liking, but I have a few other projects I am working on also.

Tonight I am going to go pick up some more metal to make the motor mount plate along with some nutserts for my truck.

Just ordered the new motor sprocket to work with my axles sprocket. Also, my neighbor just ran her daughters bike over with her truck.... so she got a new bike and I scored a bunch of free parts for the power wheels. I can use the steering and the chain from the bike on the power wheels, I can probably use some other parts too.
