i know this is not a major inconvenience but I was getting in my truck a while ago and the sunglass holder was open and of course I hit it with my head and fuucckk I broke it. There is only a little plastic tab the size of a toothpick holding it in there. And of course it's not a replacement part you have to replace the whole over head console $$$.
This must have happened to someone before.
    Any ideas?

I broke off one of the tabs on mine. IIFC I drilled a small hole and threaded a small machine screw in to the hole then into the housing, with enough play to allow easy opening.
