    Hello!
I was thinking of letting Mr.Marv build me a new box full length with an amp rack,I was wondering if a 12" sundown would fit?Can i still use my jl 500/1?What sundown series can i use?I want to do a 2ohm if possible.2011 toyota tacoma double cab. What parts would i have to cut out on the wall to make the box fit? Thanks again!

Mr marv builds your box to the speaker you buy he has numerous subwoofer suggestions and will gladly answer all these questions better then we could. hes building me this box for my 17 now for a shallow 10". Hit him up this is my second box from him

You can fit any sub Sundown makes in there. However if you wanna keep your rear seats & use up to 500W, you'll want the SD3

My 10" is nothing. Sometimes he requires you to break off the child restraint hooks

Side note, what does he typically charge for these custom boxes? I've seen some of his work and it looks second to none, but just wondering how far out of reach it is? Currently have 2 ARC Audio subs sitting in the garage looking for a way to get shoe-horned into the back. I've already pulled the whole back seat out and deadened the back wall. Craopy kicker is sitting there now.

It's been a while since i had a box built from him,What i remember it was not bad at all as far as price goes,Very well worth it!I just don't think he carpets them anymore,I have a place where i live that will do that for me but he said maybe go with the line-x spray.

I could see line-x on that box....Might still carpet...Might get him to build a small lip on top of the amp rack for led lighting.

I have 2 10" sundown SD3s mounted behind my seats, i can tell you that the SA series will not mount behind the seats.... i tried, they will hit the rear of the seats and damage the speaker.

Stick with the "shallow mount" subs, JL audio makes a 13" shallow mount if you are going for size, but i think that you will need a larger amp. Also you may want to check the JL amp output... i think JL likes to run at 3 ohm loads rather than the usual 2 or 4 ohm loads... So you maybe getting 500w RMS at 3ohms..... The sundown subs run at 4, 2, 1, or .5 ohm loads...

The SD3 sounds amazing. Output is solid too. Your amp is perfect for it. I have 585W available to one and it's a little too much.

I was thinking can i do 2 10" sundown sd3?Like the jl audio stealth box and the amp rack on the side like in the above picture?I know i would need a bigger amp..I'm just not sure if i would get more sound out of a single 10 vs the jl shallow i have now.Maybe i would not have to do any modification and cut off the child restraints.

Which JL do you have? I'll model the 2 for you. How big is the box you have now?
