My sun visors are falling apart, anyone ever replace theirs? I see replacements for 2nd gens on Amazon, but not for 1st gens
Anyone know if the 2nd gen would fit in the 1st gen?

Just thought I'd update this thread, I went ahead and bought the 2nd gen sin visor and installed it, it's a little tight but it fits, the plastic push in bar had to be squeezed a bit with pliers for it to fit since it's a little bigger than the gen 1 sun visor

I attached some pics of how it looks

I see them from different vendors with different prices on Amazon. Which did you buy?

    The vendor was Dasbecan

    Nice job!
By the way, toyota cars contemporary to the 1st gen (camrys, corollas, echos and tercels) do have the same sun visors than the tacoma (and they share a bunch of interior parts as well).
Though I have noticed that the tan/oak interior color of 2000 and up models is lighter than the 2000 and lower models.
If you take a look at a 96-00 and a 01-04 tacoma, you will see the difference

I don't know about the grey interior though, as I have the tan interior

@Qtboi69 thank you for this thread and putting my mind at ease.
Last weekend I purchased these thinking it was for the 1st Gen. When I noticed it was for the 2nd Gen my heart sunk.
I googled it, and this was the first thing that popped up.
Was only $20 for the set!
    Can't wait to install them!!!

Not sure why, but the Dasbecan 2nd gen visor does not fit on my 04 extended cab. The angle is wrong and it’s too long to line up with the clasp.

    Do bolt holes match up?
If yes, then some gentle bending of that arm needed

They almost do, the middle swivel section is too wide won’t fit through the hole. I’ll keep looking at other vehicles maybe they’ll fit better.

    Well crap.

remember, your (I will too) be adapting a non fit part…..to fit

what about using washers to make the swivel fit thru hole?
