It took too many rattle cans of fluid film last year so I’m hoping to buy a gallon of fluid film and use a cheap spray gun for it. Any suggestions on what to use and considerations?

i went through seven last year with more to go. The rattle cans also do a shit job for the second half of the can.

ended up using this gun. Worked great. Discharges a lot so it’s easy to get everything coated well in a reasonable amount of time. However those extensions suck. The amount discharged is significantly reduced. The container has a really shitty connection to the gun that comes disconnected easily. Overall it’s still much better than using the rattle cans.
