Y-pipe is now available. You’re looking at the Y-back exhaust

Took a second look it's open. Just was a little confusing when clicking on the options.

Definitely need to get some better organizing to eliminate confusion.

On another note, my stock order for steel arrived today. So it’s also time to jig up the exhaust systems.

I will see if I can find some pics tomorrow. Funny, I’ve been coating for so long now I don’t even think to take pictures of coating anymore.

Personally, black is my favorite. Lighter colors will get icky looking over time if you see lots of dirt etc.

I was thinking Black would be the better option long term for that reason.

It’s been a week. Ended up catching a stomach bug which has knocked me down a little bit. But we are working on getting a few projects out of the shop so we can ramp up some development. Officially clearing my schedule of vehicle builds for a couple of months to focus on development of parts that have been in progress for months now.

Bits and pieces are starting to show up for the header project which I hope to begin mid February. But check these collectors out.

Sunday funday in the shop getting work done with the wife!

These second gen Y’s sure are moving out! Yet oddly enough, the 3rd gen Y isn’t moving at all. I’m taking it as a sign to keep pushing with even more second gen development!

    High clearance Y coming soon!

Interesting about the 3rd gen, but I'm looking forward to the 2nd gen header and exhaust.

I did somewhat of a “soft” release with the third just to get it out there. So I may need to kickstart it a little better via IG and FB. But either way, it’s buying me time to release the exhaust for the second gen and get the headers rolling more.

It’s also tax season. Things do tend to get slow until return time. At least in my previous experiences.

I would plan for spring/summer. I’m designing them on my truck as a little side project. But I do not keep mine down one day longer than it needs to be once the snow is gone. So hell or high water they will be done by then

Sure! We are planning to do a high clearance that will accommodate all skids. It will not be an equal length. However it will utilize all of the same quality materials. Not saying the current equal length can’t or won’t work with a skid however we don’t find it to be an ideal combo.

Could you please explain what issues you have seen on this and if you know of any skids it definitely will not work with? It appears to stay above the bottom of the frame rails in all the pictures posted, so I assumed it would clear any aftermarket skids for the transmission and transfer case.

It’s mostly the fact that a large portion of skids will require modification to any vertical supports. It also sandwiches a hot pipe between the trans pan and a skid, so it could potentially increase trans temps. Though we have not seen this personally, everybody has their own driving styles so it’s hard to say with certainty that it won’t.
