Does anyone know of a strobe/flashing brake light that I could just put in tow hitch and plug in? I have looked and can't seem to find any thing. I have seen the module you can buy:
    https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/strobe-controllers/pulsing-strobe-module/196/846/

I searched the forum and found a thread on 2nd gen about adding additional brake lights. Couldn't find any write ups about putting strobe in third brake light (not really wanting to take that apart tho).

Tempted to buy one of the plug and play brake lights for the trailer hitch and take it apart and add the strobe module to it.

Looking into this because seems like everyone is distracted these days (plus last truck was totaled by someone distracted hitting me in back)...not that a strobe brake light will cure all...

It may be different in your locale, but in WA it's illegal for you to have flashing brake lights.

I am in VA...not sure if it is. I catch myself looking in rear view when at a red light...almost expecting to get smashed again.

I hear you. I found out it was illegal when I got pulled over on my bike. I had strobes that would flash when I hit the brakes. Cop was cool about it. Turns out he rode as well and had them on his bike. He told me about the adjustment I could make so it only flashed 2-3 times before going solid. Still illegal, but he told me I'd probably never get busted for that unless I was riding like a jerk.

I live in Virginia. The 3rd brake light can flash but not the tail lights I think. I have a flasher on my motorcycle which is legal here as well.

Where I live the Hyundai dealer puts a strobe module for the 3rd break light on every single car on the lot.

I have this exact thing i want to install in my hitch, but I want to wire it to the brake lights as well as being independent so when it rains and I'm kicking up mist I can turn it on like it's a rear FOG light like they have on the european cars.

Thats where I bought mine. It was because they met my price, not because I live here. The Jeep dealer here are assholes on price so I went to woodbridge when I bought that.
