i have a fiberglass sub box that has been sounding really bad lately, and sounded like its leaking air. Sure enough, i pulled it out today and the seal isnt great and is leaking. it appears that one of the screws isnt tightening down and the fiberglass is stripped out.

Any ideas on how to resolve this? im thinking of just packing it with epoxy and drilling it out again?

Are you screwed right into the fiberglass? If so maybe consider drilling those holes out & use threaded inserts & machine screws. I've found inserts work best when you use some sort of adhesive to secure them.

right after i posted this, i went to lowes and bought some of those threaded sleeves with the teeth on the bottom to stay in place. drilled it out and worked great. now im finding a small leak in the flat part of the box, so im trying to figure out how to seal that next. i seriously shouldnt have to do this with a JL audio stealthbox!!
