Running an ext cab 2.7 no bed small tires for a county fair mud run. Question is I have 2 really aggressive tires sxs tires. Front and rear diffs are locked. Should the more aggressive tread go on the front or back? Also if anyone wants a flatbed let me know! IMG_5014.jpg

I’d be inclined toward front due to weight distribution

The truck is RWD before it’s 4x4. More grip in the rear makes sense to me

also assuming you are taking that flatbed off?

A reason to go rear might be avoiding stress on front cv shafts if you really go ham on the throttle. Grippier tires would exacerbate that.

flat bed is coming off for the mud run. I only have found these 2 tires locally and im not gonna pour money into this one lol. my thoughts were same as deadbeef with thoughts of cv issues but also may be better to have them up front to pull the truck through. im not sold either way just wanted to see what everyone elses thoughts were.

This sounds like a good time. I want to see pictures and videos. I remember going to truck bogs as a kid and a 80s toyota on tractor tires destroyed everyone else.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=00ZR13-ZjIo Welp didn’t make it to the end but no one else did either. Turbo sounds cool though lol just left the good tires on the back and probably should have been on the front or even just on one side. Possibly turbo choked engine down, about half way the rpm’s dropped and couldn’t power through
