Straight bolt on black rims. "No mods"

    looks great FTD! I wouldnt worry about the clearance. My '96 was the same way and I never had any problems and that one was 4x4 and got beat on pretty regularly.

    Some black nerf/step bars would look awesome on your rig now!

    Hey Guys, thanks for all the great information! Just got my 2011 Tacoma a couple months ago and I am going to try and get it as nice as every one in this thread that I've seen! So far I've gotten the windows tinted and some coverking tactical seatcovers put in. Im probably going to order some of those Cragers that look so great and bigger tires next!

    Update (This has little to do with the wheels, which are excellent).

    The good: stance. Oh, this thing looks good and handles well. Absolutely no black box rubbing (yes, they are still there). Like the ride as well, and there was little increase in noise. Wife digs the look.

    The bad: Knocked about 1-1.5 mpg off my average. Better than I thought, actually. It wouldn't be a complaint, but it's something to know.

    The intolerable: Power loss. You will never climb any sort of hill in 5th gear again. If you're a mountain driver, even an occasional mountain driver, even a "like climbing slight grades on the freeway at freeway speeds driver", moving to the big tire is just something you should not do. At some point, I'm going to try a 215/75/15 tire, which has about an inch less in circumference (the diameter is right between the stock 215/70/15 and the 235/75/15) and see if that makes a difference, but I am damn glad I kept the old wheels and tires so I can switch if I gotta take a trip to Vegas. Because there's no way I could make that trip through the Mojave mountains with the current setup.

    I'm not going to go down the route of regearing or any of that silliness. Love these wheels. Don't love this tire size. Your mileage can and will vary, as always :)

    you should be able to fit 30's without the lift though, I did before I got my 31's/lift.

    Took me long enough but I got my Cramers in, rubbed off the pinstripes, added some 235/75/15s BFG Rugged Terrains and hubcentric rings, Bakflip CS cover/rack, and Gibson exhaust. Next up cold air intake... Any thoughts?

    Thank you all for sharing. I have 5 lug 2008 access cab. It is my daily beater. I was always unhappy about its caricature small tires/wheels combo. I was thinking about getting Enkei's Competitions but decided they might look a little out of place. I have followed your recommendation and have bought single Cragar D to check fitment. It cleared caliper mount no problem, so I placed an order for three more and also picked up hub rings. Had tires mounted locally. Here is a pic before

    Tires are firestone 235/75-r15 destination a/t's. In retrospect I should have picked up smaller ones in 70 aspect ratio. 75's rub and I had to do black box removal mod.
    Power loss is there - especially with AC on. Too early to tell impact on MPG. Overall quite a shocking change.

    Just picked up a 2007 access cab sr5 with the 4 cyl and auto, thinking of these wheels as well, looks so much better. Just wondering if there are any low profile tires that would look ok as to not hurt performance, especially going up hills. Also have a shell on the truck (guessing 150-200 lbs).

    Hello everyone, I'm a newbie here. Just bought a 2015 access cab with 5 speed MT. I, too, am looking to upgrade the wheels just mainly for looks, which is to get rid of the skateboard look. Great info in this thread! I'm concerned about the power loss if I go with too big of tire size, so I'm thinking of going with 235/70/15. Has anyone tried this? Also wondering if anyone tried these wagon wheels in 16" diameter.

    I wish I tried 235/70R15. Instead I picked up 75s. My truck is pictured few posts above. I am convinced that stock truck looks bad not so much because wheels are too small but because they are tucked in too much. 235/70R15 on Cragars would look right and proportional.

    Gone over the Top for a 5-lug..
    Up-sizing of wheel sets, without adjusting final drive ratio, is always going to be an exercise in compromise - with quite a few individualized factors to consider, before going all-in.

    This is a damn good tool to figure out what is going to go on, with a tire change.

    I run 225/75R16's on my (at this moment) unlifted 5lug.

    Even though there is an 8.9% increase in diameter overall, going from a 26.9" to a 29.3" tire/rim assembly, it is tolerable at the present gearing until i go further up. Living in a relatively flat environment (southern Ontario) i can adjust to up-slopes with at most, taking it one gear down. You do need to be more pro-active with your shifting habits, and a little more aggressive in keeping the rev's up before shifting - I'm still adjusting to the tire-change 4 months ago, with my shifting habits. If i was living in Kentucky/Tennessee Hill country, this shit most definitely wouldn't float...

    I am doing the spacer/aal lift with Bilstein's in the next few weeks - present tire size will remain the same, until the bank account has recovered, and the present tires on the 16" rims are worn out... only then would (might?) tire-size increase, and with that, a probable final-drive ratio change.

    One option is to go with a wider lower profile tire but not sure how the would look, like a 60 series tire.
