i replaced my cabin air filter with a STP filter. The directions that came with it wrote arrow up and to the right. Me being me and seeing the airflow comes down got me thinking I'm misreading the directions. I would think they would want the arrow to go on the direction of the air flow? Yes I did a google search then a site search here. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

Right arrow means sideways facing in, up arrow means up. Many people install taco filters wrong.

Thank you guys I appreciate it. Was one of those things that was bugging me, had me thinking maybe the directions were for a different year or something as when I did my searches all mentioned arrow in direction of airflow

My filter had "airflow" written on it with an arrow, so I installed it with the arrow pointing down.

I really don't think it matters that much.

Good. The Arrow points down in the direction of the air flow.

I installed a cabin filter wrong once and nearly suffocated. I was able to open a window right before I passed out. Make sure you get it right op.

Ha ha Toy4me ha ha. It's easy when your not me. After further inspection side of the filter reads
Air (imagine a down arrow here) Flow. BUT,,,,and here's the rub the directions say arrow up. It's apparent the airflow is down

I'm glad somebody else asked this question for me already lol i figured it out on my own as one side was filthy and had leaves in it, but it would be nice if toyota put an arrow on the filter housing so you knew in the event your filter wasn't dirty
