This is my first post. I just picked up a 2019 sr5 4x4 tacoma. This is my first tacoma. I had a 2007 tundra before this. Here is my question. So I feel like my truck sits couple inches lower then other similar Tacomas that look stock. Maybe it is just an illusion. Can anyone tell me what the height of their stock 4x4 tacoma is from ground to the edge of the wheel well? Maybe I am just being overly conscientious of height as this is my first "small" truck.

Looks about right to me. The pros come with a small lift built in, so they would be higher.

Looks about right to me too but I know what you mean about feeling like it sits a little lower than some other stock looking trucks. I feel the same way about mine.

Mine has the trim around the wheel well so I measured to the bottom of the doors.
Forward corner of the front door is 20 inches.
Rear corner of the rear door is 21 inches.

I felt the same way until I installed a leveling kit, now my truck sits the way it should.

    Lots, straight from the factory.
Mine came with 245/75/16 street tires. Swapped out for 265/75/16 BFGs. Mathematically it should only be 1/2”. The street tires were soft and round. The BFGs have hard sidewalls. The truck now sits much higher and looks incredibly different.

I parked next to this (Stock ... by all appearances) Sport 4X2 and the back end was at least an inch higher than mine. The front appeared a bit higher too.

They're the same height and it might just be the angle you took the picture at. I have a friend with a 4x2 sport and we parked side by side the other day and mine looked like it sat a little taller :notsure:

Trust me, they were definitely not the same ... I even did the hand test on the tops of the tires to the wheel well.

It’s been awhile since I checked mine- I think ocd will go into a fit but now I’m curious again.

The whole left side of your cab sits 7/8 lower- how much of that is the gas tank you think? Do they make something that you could lift the left side of the cab to match the right side (because I’m sure after I pull measurements again I’d need that)

Edit- have no idea if all my tires are at same pressure or slightly off and full tank but took some quick measurements on stock sport with cap
Both front are at 34 3/4+
    Lr 34 7/8
    Rr 35 1/2
I’m sure the difference in the rear has some to do with the tank but I’d like to compensate for this if I could, lifting the drivers rear at least a 1/4

I just bought a 2019 Off-Road and my front is 35.2 and rear is 36.8. I am wanting to do 1/2" spacers to help level it up.

You guys need to measure from the centre of your hubs to the bottom of the fender. Then you can get true comparisons, regardless of tires.
