Hey guys, I see a lot of talk in here about the 9-10 inch Joying Android stereo receivers. I know the Alpine Halo 9 is awesome, and a lot of people here have tried different Dasaita style stereos from Chinese websites.... Anyone heard of Stinger off-road, or recognize this stereo?

    https://stingeroffroad.com/products/toyota-tacoma-2005-2011-complete-stereo-replacement-kit

I mean, it looks great, but it's just as expensive as Pioneer or Alpine, yet I've literally never heard of this brand. The stero has no actual name, just a replacement. Lol. The spec list is suspiciously blank as hell. That said, it has a higher resolution that the Alpine Halo 9, capacitive screen, etc.

    Thoughts?

Edit* more searching I see they're usually big for Jeeep sheep, and they sell them at Best Buy, so at least it's not a china knockoff with a price increase.

Interesting, for sure. Kinda pricey though

They're an off-shoot of Stinger electronics who has been in the car audio business for longer than I can remember. I was in the scene in the early 90s and they were big in the wire, terminal, distribution, fusing, etc... side of things. Basically installation parts. It appears they branched out.

    Rollin' hydrocarbons!
Ran across this when I was headunit shopping. Saw it was for older models and kept rolling. Kind of wish I had run across the video. I may have gone with this option. I ended up going with the Kenwood DMX1037S. It's quite a nice radio and does everything I want it to. But when all said and done a bit more expensive than this.

Yeah it’s just a Stinger HEIGH10 radio, and some PAC parts thrown in.

the radio itself sells for $850, and the parts will add up to another $150 or so, so it’s not a bad deal if that’s the radio you want.

Hm. Looks decent and sounds legit then. I had just never heard of them so I wasn't sure.

Does this retain all factory controls? Can’t tell if I can use the factory mic or not.

Has anyone run into an issue while using the ma1 wireless Android auto? It keeps deleting in my Bluetooth devices when I shut off the truck so I have to set up Bluetooth every time I turn on the truck. Didn't have this issue with AAwireless and I've tried it on my wife's phone with the same outcome.
