I went with SOS Concept bolt on sliders with the fill plate. They are extremely well built and come at a great price. They are made by TW member EddyRRT. He had the best price with a great look.

Happy with my CBI bolt on sliders, have them on both the 04 and 16. Although I don't rock crawl, they keep the truck protected while offroad without reducing clearance and make loading the roofrack a breeze.

I appreciate all of the feedback and opinions. Just one question, are the people who are recommending rock sliders also taking into account that my truck will be a Daily Driver and light off-roader ? , lol if you still stand behind what you said that's fine

    Just wanted to make sure

Your title does say "Rock Slider" LOL! I do light off roading as well. I like the fact that it will also protect me from door dings at parking lots. I got on a group buy for mine and paid $550 shipped...

Yep, that's what both my 04 and 16 are, daily drivers and limited offroad. Offroad in limited to the sandy beaches in the Outer Banks and fire roads in the mountains. Like I said, they also help you reach the roof with a load to the roofrack.

Here's the 04 with the CBI Offroad sliders installed.

OP, I would recommend sliders. They will do everything that steps will do plus give you better off road protection.
There are some great fabricators out there making these for our trucks. See if you can find one that is close to you so you can save on shipping. It is a real pita to ship these things.

Yeah man, I got Mobtown sliders. They're perfect in my opinion. They provide protection and with the kick out a step to get into the bed. They come out just enough to act as a step if needed.

The good thing about Mobtown is they box around the frame and support the weight of the truck.

After writing this I just realized I already posted in this thread. To many beers as I enjoy the ocean view in Waimanalo.

By the way, how did your 275's work out?

The 275s are amazing. They are quiet but still huge. I'll have to try and snap some photos. I really don't think I could tell the 1/2" difference if I would have opted for the 285s.

We offer rock sliders that are built with the typical 25 degree slope, but they also utilize a flat step plate surface. This makes them a great combination of both a slider and step!
