Steering Wheel Repair?

The steering wheel in my 2000 Tacoma is breaking apart at the top. It's like a rubber material. I'm wondering if there's a way to fix that and/or how difficult it is to replace the steering wheel. How expensive is a new steering wheel?

 

There are different type glues that would fix that I'm sure and I would get a high quality cove like wheelskins and just wrap it all up , will cover all the bad looking parts of the wheel, most of the used wheels because they are 10 or 20'years old might have issues

 

Probably can still get a new one from toyota if you wanna drop the coin

 

If you use a high quality cover like tacomav6 mentions above....get some dense foam and fill in the cracks and cut off the excess.

 

look for one on ebay. I put a newer model tacoma wheel in my 06 for $150. I'm sure you can find one for a 1st gen on there.
