Has anyone purchased steel wheels for snow tires. Where is the best deals?? Also do I need to buy tire pressure sensors or just run without?

run without. ignore the flashing tpms light all winter.

why not buy a set of take-offs dirt cheap on craigslist or whatever local used classified is popular there. I can get a set of 16 or 17" just about any time for 200 bucks. They look better than steelies.

What he said..^^^^ If you can get a set of Alloys for dirt cheap...buy them.... if not. buy steel ones. Some are nicer than others.... I've got the Toyota steelies and run them all winter and place a 5/8" round piece of electrical tape over the idiot light.... Don't even see it..!

Best deals are on CL. All the cool kids want spiffy black wheels and ditch their OE units. And there's not a waiting list of buyers, so you can negotiate.

Or you might collect a set of full size spare tire wheels. Junkyards and such.

Sensors depend on your tolerance for the nanny light being on and your diligence in keeping the pressures actually checked.

These were the steelies I got from my Toyota dealer. I didn't get the TPMS's because they have to program them into the truck every time you switch from summers to winters. Like Over60 said, just ignore the light.
Actually I keep my tires in the garage behind the truck, and they re-sync every morning while it warms up. But I only make it half way to work before the light comes on.

Ok thanks guys. I wasn't sure if not running pressure sensors would affect ABS or Trac control. Also... if I bought wheels I can't seem to figure out correct size. I want 16" 6 lug but I'm not sure on the offset or width. There's a lot of conflicting info out there. Different websites call them different

You're making it too hard. Buy used OE wheels. Perfect fit. Done.
