Would like to get a staggered setup on a 2015 Tacoma TRD Pro. Planning to get a 2.5 - 3 inch lift and wanted 18x9 with -12 offset, 4.5 backspacing on 275/65's in front and 18x10 with -24 offset, 4.65 backspacing on 285/65's in rear (or something similar based on feedback). Any problems with this setup? Any advice is much appreciated.
P.S. If this has already been posted kindly point me in that direction.

Personal preference. Any problems with the setup? Or just not your taste?

I don't know anyone who has done it on a Tacoma. However, a friend of mine had a Mercedes AMG with different size wheels front and back, so he could not rotate the tires, which lead to tire wear issues that could have been avoided, or at least slowed down if he was able to rotate. Only negative I can think of.

Not ideal. Mainly because you can’t rotate. Secondly is there is no benefit to doing it at all. Not even a price point when it all boils down

Sorry for reply to an old thread. I am about to do a staggering set up for my 2018 sr5 dcsb 2wd, no lift. My rear is 265/70/16 on 16×8 rim with 25mm less than stock offset, and front is 246/75/16 on 16×7 rim (stay oem). I drive on windy twisty mountain roads a lot, so this would enhance the performance of the truck in regards to cornering and braking. For tire rotation I plan to rotate side to side, no big deal. Just wondering if you have gone this route (staggered) or traditional square setup?

not sure on 4x4 trucks but AWD vehicles do not like staggered setups. If you run it in 2wd all the time then prob will be fine, not sure why on a TRD Pro honestly. Wrong truck to do it with.

I vote not staggered, not worth it. Your truck will fit as wide of tire on front as your running on back. Why not maximize the footprint? I run staggered on my Porsche because it came that way and that’s what fits. I also put less than 5k miles a year on it. Remember you drive a truck, treat it like a truck and just put matching wheels and tires on it

Different diameter front to rear axle may cause some drivetrain issues especially in 4wd mode. Same diameter but different tire width or track width (offset) - no problem except costly custom wheels order.

My bosses x5m has a staggered setup, pretty sure its fine as long as the diameters are the same.

Pretty sure the X5 is RWD. In that case there’s no issue
