SR Startup Screen & Screen Off Image

Sad days to realize the SR doesn't have the ability to add/change the Startup Screen image and select a custom Screen-Off image...

I spent way too much time making this Retro Logo and adjusting the Star Trek image to a non-Short-Box Double Cab for no one to use them:

 

Nice logos, Toyota's narrative is probably that SR buyers aren't interested in screen customization. Ehrlich, & Terminex could add their trucks to the screens of their fleets, if this was an option.

 

what is the purpose of the start up image, it is visible for all of 1.8 seconds. how do we get rid of the warning text at start up and let the start up image stay on in it's place?

 

Another piece of that custom personalization imo, "This is my Tacoma, there are many like it - but this one is mine"

The screen-off image in particular is great because you can turn it on and have it on all the time really. I don't think you can do anything about the warning text screen to increase the duration of the start-up image though.

I wonder if the 2020 sr5 can do it

 

It's not do-able on ANY 2020.

 

I didn't think so I was going through the settings menu and couldn't find anything about it.

 

Wait, no trim in the 2020 can do custom startup screen and screen off images?

 

I wish I was that talented! I found it on Reddit and then spent some time tweaking it to a long box!

I just want to say that whether or not the LCARS Taco can be used, it is still sexy as hell.

 

This was one of the few cool features of the Entune head unit. Even tho you 2020 guys don't have it, least you have Android Auto.

 

I used the same image for awhile when I had the stock radio. I used this for my startup image, then the tacoma class as my display off image.







I also thought it would be cool to have a bedside decal that looked like this.

 

As much as Android auto seems cool and it's great to have Google maps up on the screen as a long time star trek fan I'd have the L cars one and others on the screen. Too bad they took it away.
